I didn’t sleep the past two nights. All I could think about was Aether and what could be happening to him. He was supposed to take me to Nyx, and she won’t be happy that he left without me. I’m scared of what she could do to my mate. It won’t matter that Aether is her son; Nyx could kill him.
I’ve kept myself busy during the day, helping with preparations for Winter’s Luna Ceremony. Anything not to think about my mate every second of the day. But at night, the thoughts return. There’s also the worry of what Mom and Dad will say when they find out who my mate is related to. They’ll be arriving today, and I know I have to take them to one side and explain things. It can’t wait until Aether returns because I don’t want them to confront him in anger.
