Fenrir I bite the pad of my thumb while looking at Winter. She’s lying on a hospital bed, eyes closed and looking dead. She isn’t dead; she also isn’t my Winter right now. How did I not notice this woman wasn’t my mate? The body is Winter’s, but the mind is not. When I pressed my hands to Winter’s head, there was nothing inside. I could not see a damn thing, which doesn’t make sense; I should be able to see Winter’s memories. But it’s dark, totally, and utterly black.
