“I can’t believe this. Robb said blood tests confirmed pregnancy. I knew it couldn’t be true, but why would he lie to me?”
Jörmungandr opens his mouth to answer but stops when Winter sucks in a deep breath and shoots upright in bed.
“Winter!” I grab her hand and kiss her knuckles.
“F-Fen,” Winter shakes her head. ‘Damn, wishful thinking it would work when I got home.’
“What are you talking about?”
Winter looks at me and smiles. She lifts her arms and wraps them around my neck. I pull her close to me, lifting her off the bed. Her feet dangle off the ground, but she doesn’t seem to be in a hurry to let go.
