"I don't—" Jake glanced at Hunter before looking at her. "I don't understand."
"I do." Hunter sat back and eyed her. "You know what you're asking, right?"
"I don't totally, to be perfectly honest. But the idea… it got into my head and I can't get rid of it." She swallowed hard, trying to keep her voice steady. "It's a logical option to explore.
