Bab 3

1150 Words
A black sedan car was parked in the yard of Lara's house, more precisely her in-laws' house. Mia was seen approaching Cherry while carrying a plate of rice. "Cher, let's eat first, it's time for school soon. I'll be angry if you don't eat," Mia chased after her while offering her a spoon. "IHHHHHHH!!! Mothera!!! Mother!!! Cherry wants to be with mom. Mother!" Cherry shouted. From inside the house, Lara's mother-in-law looked at Cherry and Mia who were chasing each other, "Tsk, having a stupid daughter-in-law." She said. "Lara!!!" he shouted. "Lara!!!!!," louder. Lara, who was in the kitchen when she heard her name being called, quickly put down her knife and headed towards the source of the sound. "Yes ma'am!" he said as he walked. "It's taking so long, take care of your child first, screaming like an animal farm. What are you doing?" The mother-in-law seemed to fold her arms across her chest. "Lara has finished making the potion ma'am, sorry there's Mia ma'am earlier Lara told Mia to prepare Cherry," said Lara. "HEEE..., look at that. You have eyes to look at, your daughter doesn't want to be with Mia. Cherry doesn't want to be forced. Hurry up and bribe your son. What's the use of making potions anyway. If you're already sick, just accept it. Why use all the potions? From the first time you made potions, there was no cure. It's just a waste of kitchen ingredients, you know," she grumbled. Lara smiled bitterly, walking away towards Cherry. Her mother-in-law's words were heartbreaking. "Mia," Lara called Mia turned around and approached Lara. "Yes ma'am," "I'll do it," Lara took the plate that was in Mia's hand. "Mommy!!!" exclaimed Cherry "Where did mom go, I wanted to be fed by mom," Cherry continued. "Mommy is making herbs at the back, Cherry forgot. Cherry should eat first, you'll be late for school. If you're late, you won't be able to do gymnastics with your friends. Don't you want Cherry to do gymnastics with friends? Don't you feel sad to miss it?" asked Lara overtime. Cherry shook her head. "Cherry didn't join Bunda's gymnastics three times, she said she had to take you first. Even though Cherry wants to go to school. Dad is naughty and likes to snack at the same old wawak shop," said Cherry. Lara frowned, whose wawak shop was Cherry referring to, because there was no wawak name in this complex or near Cherry's school. "Wawak's shop?" asked Lara. Cherry nodded her head, "Yes, Mother, Daddy likes to take you to the Wawak store, he said that if he doesn't take you, you'll disappear like Chelly," Cherry replied. "Where is the shop?" asked Lara curiously. "Do you want to have some snacks too, like Ms. Mia and Daddy?" asked Cherry. "You can have a snack together," Lara replied. "But you're going to, Chelly can't talk," Cherry lowered her head. "No son, there is Mother. Mother always takes care of Cherry right. Now just give me a ride. What about our motorcycle? It's fun to see right and left. Cherry must be bored riding in the car," Lara tried to persuade her son. Cherry slowly looked at Lara then she nodded her head slowly. "We'll buy Joy there," she said. Lara nodded her head, agreeing with what Cherry wanted. "Now you finish eating," Larana spooned a spoonful of rice into Cherry's mouth. Lara was very curious about the shop Cherry was referring to. Indeed, since Mia's presence, she no longer took Cherry to school. Sometimes Ilham seemed to deliberately leave Lara when Lara was preparing to come, when Lara was ready what Lara found was that Ilham's car had driven away from the fence. Not once or twice but many times Ilham had done this. Lara took out her electric bike, ignoring her nagging mother-in-law. "You're a bad mother-in-law," came the mother-in-law's voice, still grumbling. Lara remained indifferent, preferring to guide the electric bike while staring at Cherry's back who was waiting for her in front of the fence. "Ye ye... Chelly and Mommy," said Cherry happily. The two of them got on their bikes, but Lara didn't pedal, she ran it with electricity. "Wow mom, that's great. Chelly likes to ride a bike," Cherry's voice came from behind. "Yes, with mom," Lara replied. The road was a bit crowded but not to the point of causing traffic jams, Lara was so happy to see her son humming and singing in the back. It had been a long time since she had taken her son to school. "Mother, that's Wawak's shop," Cherry pointed to a grand building. Lara stopped her bike at the side and turned to the building Cherry was pointing at. Lara's eyes widened completely upon seeing the building. "Motel Serayu" he said quietly. Lara was completely shocked, she couldn't imagine how Cherry, the 3-year-old child, could be waiting in the car alone while the two cursed humans were making out in the motel. What kind of human would leave their child in the car like that every day? God, those two people are not human. "Cherry is always in the car?" Lara asked for confirmation. Cherry nodded her head, "Watch out mas, you can hurt me but not my son. How could you stay in the car with such a small child and make out with that cursed woman? I can't get over it, besides being blind you also have no brains," Lara thought angrily. "I was told that if I went out, I would be bitten by a dragon, and I was afraid of my mother so I stayed here for a long time," Cherry replied. Lara let out an irritated breath, completely clueless about what the two humans were thinking. How could their minds not be used, what if something happened to Cherry. Moreover, she was in the car alone for a long time. Is that justified? Lara was so emotional, she continued to ride her bicycle, taking her little daughter to school on time. Even though her mind drove so loudly to hate Ilham. More and more days the hatred is getting deeper. As if there was no more love in Lara's heart. The feeling of love is getting dead and slowly lost in time. Eroded by hate and forgotten by time. What Cherry experienced was just one of Ilham's many mistakes. And of course, it made Lara's heartache even worse. Not to mention her mother-in-law who berated and insulted her every day. It was as if the insults were Lara's daily bread. For the in-laws, Lara might still be able to tolerate it, but if the affair happened, then Lara could not remain silent and patient. There was no way she could bear such deep heartache. There was a time for him to rise up and prove and even avenge all the pain he and Cherry had received.
