"What's with your face?" Harry stood up as he looked at Chyster's face. It has some bruises and some blood spills.
Before Chyster headed out for guitar, they were just practicing, and he was out for just an hour, and now he is back with bruises and blood.
“What?” Chyster’s innocent reply. Then he went near the mirror, and he saw some bruises on his face.
“Nah, they are just some scratches,” he said, smiling. Everyone in the room frowned, not at what he said but at what he did after that. Chyster never smiled easily, and it seemed good to smile at that moment. Niel stood up from sitting and got near to Chyster. He examined him from head to toe to make sure that everything was alright.
Niel Anderson is the most responsible and stands as the elder brother of the group. He holds the base in the band
Harry Johnson is the funniest joker in the group. He is the drummer of the band
Bhry Chu is the troublemaker of the group, and he holds the electric guitar.
And lastly, among them all, the richest, smartest, and quietest was Chyster Von Sandoval. He is the lead guitarist of their band, Celestial Rhythm.
Niel worriedly asked, "Are you feeling alright?"
Knowing Chyster, Bhry made fun of Niel by asking, "The question is, does he feel anything?"
Chyster had a head injury when he was just 5 years old. He nearly died, but his mother, who is a doctor, did her best to save him from death, but some damage to his brain made his life different. From that time on, he can’t feel any pain, and he can’t feel hot or cold. And everyone is careful of him and observant of him because it is like a time bomb, as he doesn’t feel he is sick or not.
Knowing their friend's predicament, Niel scowled at Bhry, who made an apology face. "Stop it, Bhry. Let us go to the hospital first."
"I am okay," Chyster replied, flashing a smile that caused his friends to scowl once more.
“No, you are not; I am calling your mother.” Then Niel reached his phone to call Chyster’s mother. But Chyster held his arm to stop him.
“Fine, let’s go,” Chyster said, then stood up.
“How’s our practice?” Harry asked them, as everyone knew that their performance for the school opening was near.
“We’ll do that later,” Niel answered.
“okay, let’s grab some food then,” Harry said as he stood up.
The four headed to the hospital, and, as expected, Chyster’s mother was so worried about just some bruises. Chyster undergoes MRIs, X-rays, and all kinds of tests to make sure that he is well, and the results show that he has no major injuries. Just the bruises on his face.
“I told you not to get into any kind of fight. What are you doing?” her mother said, giving him an ear again
“ma, I am fine, nothing to worry about.”
“I am your mother; it is normal for me to worry. Please think of me before doing anything harmful to you if I could just stick to you every minute and wherever you go.”
“Ma,” Chyster replies with irritation, because his mother still treats him like a baby. Bhry and Harry were laughing at their sides.
“Niel, please do not let my son be alone.”
“Yes, Aunty Christy, we will look for him. Sorry about what happened.”
“Thank you very much, son.” Christy Sandoval, mother of Chyster, is a good person, and she treats the friends of Chyster as his son as well. She is currently working in their hospital in the US and just came back to the Philippines to visit her son and some of their businesses.
“Don’t bother them, ma, I can handle myself,” Chyster
“Then what is this?” his mother pointed at his face. Mrs. Christy treated them to dinner as she was out of the country for a few months, and he missed them all. After dinner, the four went back to their studio.
“as expected, everyone is searching for us and curious about us after the last fight,” Lea said while eating chips. They are inside Sarha’s room talking about the last fight.
“we can’t go back to our hiding spot in the underground. I’m sure some found out our place and plotted a trap for us,” Xena said as she was lying in her bed.
“by the way, our class opening is just a few days from now; it is our final year, so we must focus, but we must not be distracted as we are getting hot to the other gangs' eyes. We are nearing our goal,” Sarha seriously said to her gang as she sat lying
“How about our training and our fights?” Sandy asked.
"We will keep training, but less intensely at first. There are some gangsters at school, so we need to blend in and try not to get close to them." - Sarha
“Okay" Hannah said, and it was the only word she said after their long conversation.
“woah! I don’t know you are there, Hannah; we’ve been talking about her from ages,” Lea joked, and Hannah just smiled.
“Let’s go shopping tomorrow, Sandy excitedly asked them.
“sure!” Lea excitedly replied
First day of 4th year of college
“Finally! The last year of college!” Lea said excitedly as they entered the gate of their school.
“are you that excited? You don't even know if you’re graduating,” Sandy mocked Lea
“could a friend tell me that? How!”
“your comlaude said that.” Sandy continued mocking Lea and walking before them and Lea scoffs at her
“watch me when I get higher grades than you!” Lea shouted and Sandy, Sarha and Hannah laughed at her. They went directly to the canteen to get some snacks before going to their rooms.
“Wait for me, I’ll go to the comfort room first,” Sarha said, then she left.
“As she was walking confidently in the hallway, he looked at the signage for the male comfort room above the door, and as she was walking near the door, a guy suddenly got out of the room, and it caught Sarha’s breath and made her stop walking. Her heart raced fast and she didn’t know what to do, so she just stood still because she couldn’t move her feet.
Chyster just finished washing her hands, and then he went out of the comfort room. He was stopped when he was slightly shocked by a woman who seemed shocked to see him. He had experienced it many times when women were shocked and excited to see him, but he was slightly shocked because this woman’s reaction seemed different from others. But Chyster just looked at her coldly and left her.
Sarha exhaled as Chyster walked past her.
‘what are you doing, Sarha! You knew he would not recognize you!’ Sarha was talking to herself as she continued to walk to the comfort room.
Sarha and Chyster are high school classmates. He never saw other people beside himself and his friend at school. She knew him as the most silent, introverted, but full of confidence, cold classmate. She knew he would not notice her, but she couldn’t explain her reaction a while ago.
After peeing, Sarha walked back to the canteen, then they walked upstairs to her classroom. The 3 girls had 30 minutes before their classes, so they planned to sit in Sarha’s class. As they walk inside the room, they’re all shocked, as the room is filled with men who are noisy, laughing and talking.
“I never saw your room filled like this,” Lea said, and Hanna stepped backward, as she is weak when she is in a crowded place, except when they are fighting. It is like a different spirit moved into her; shyness has no space for her.
“Neither,” Sarha said while still looking around.
“are they your classmates?”- Sandy
“no! I mean, some of them but most of them are not," was Sarha’s reply.
“I think we can’t sit in; we don’t have space now. We’ll just see you later at lunch,” Sandy said, and they patted Sarha’s shoulder and left the room.
After setting off, Sarha sat down next to her classmate Hyna.
Curiosity prompted Sarha to ask, "What happened? Why are there so many boys here?"
"I am very excited! Mrs. Eleonor joined the graduating architecture section with us. I heard this is the punishment, Mrs. Eleonor gave them something they did last year. Then, because she was busy with her research paper, she joined them in our class." Sarha scowled at her as she heard her final words.
Sarha expressed her disappointment, saying, "What excitement? They will just disturb us from our lesson; this is a major subject, remember? I thought I would enjoy this subject this year, but it seems not."
"I am so excited because, as you may know, the entire Celestial Rhythm is here with us now!"
"What?!" Sarha exclaimed in a loud voice that attracted some attention, but she was not really aware of it because the other boys are loud.
"Yes! Are you excited too, right?" Hyna asked, beaming broadly.
"Of course not." Sarha answered
