“So, what do I do with you now, little vampire dude?” I asked, my voice the only sound in the dusty, small, dilapidated chamber. I sighed as I gazed upon him, at his finely chiseled body, held, I knew, somewhere between life and death, and then I sunk to the floor, legs out, my back to the granite base, eager to release my load. “What do I do with you now?” It bore repeating. It also didn’t need to be asked a third and final time. See, when I sunk, my foot stretching out, the tiniest of splinters jammed into my heel. I held my foot up and spotted the intruder, a barely discernible droplet of blood seeping out of the wound a second later. And then, all of a sudden, my voice was not the only sound to be heard in the dusty, small, dilapidated chamber. No sir, no how. I froze upon hearing
