Sora scrambled to his feet and out of the door. He bumped into several pieces of furniture on his way out as if he were in a daze. He tried to make out what happened previously, a cloud of smoke still fogging his mind, turning his thoughts hazy. Shadows loomed in the corners of his eyes, beckoning him closer but Sora knew better than to listen. Instead, he quickened his footsteps, the sound of sneakers pounding on the floor bouncing in the empty space.
