Jasmine’s POV
I’ve been staring out of the bathroom window for I don’t know how long now. My alarm sound pulls me out of my trance. It’s time. My heartbeat is frantic. My palms are sweaty. I go near the sink and pick the stick up. As soon as I see the result I start crying. I don’t know what I am crying about but I can’t seem to stop. Suddenly there is a knock on the bathroom door and I pull it open. My mum has a worried look on her face when she sees my state. She pulls me in for a hug before even seeing the result.
“Shhh… baby. I am here. What’s the result?”
I give her the stick because I know I am not able to let any understandable sounds out of my mouth right now.
“Oh my goodness. I am going to be a grandma,” she said and pulled me in a bone-crushing hug. “I am so happy, my baby.
