Aidan’s POV
Friday evening was here. I’ve been avoiding the social gathering for a while now but I think tonight I might just go. I hope she comes, too. I heard she’s been absent, too, so maybe enough time has passed for her to feel like she should come. I finished everything and walked out of my office. Everyone was leaving for the bar already. I heard the new guy, Oliver I think, talk to some of the other guys. I don’t think I liked what I was hearing. It gave me a strange feeling.
“Oh, man I am just going to try my luck with her tonight. She seemed too open to talk to me. Maybe I’ve got a chance,” he said with green on his face.
