I put the flowers in a vase and filled them with water so they would still be alive tomorrow. I loved it! The gesture was perfect. And the meaning of it... I can’t stop grinning. I put the vase on the kitchen island and was about to go meet him when two strong arms pulled me from the back. I could feel his scent and I suddenly felt light-headed. I was intoxicated by his aroma. He kissed my forehead and then my cheek. He pulled my face on the side and took my lips in his sweetly. It was not a rushed, hot kiss. Not even passionate. It was only caring, sweet, soft. I was in a trance. I would follow him to the top of the world if only he asked.
