Aidan’s POV
We went to the office and after a long kiss in the elevator, we separated into our own offices. As soon as I opened the laptop I saw about 30 emails I had to read and respond. I started to open them one by one and I didn’t notice how much time I had spent doing just that when my phone started ringing. I took it out of my pocket and a frown came on my face. What does she want now? I put my phone on silent and went on with my work, but an unsettling feeling rested in my gut. I kept myself busy for a while and the phone call was soon forgotten. Suddenly, my office phone started ringing.
