“Tell me what’s bothering you, baby girl. I want to know” I said while hoping that this lunch with my parents was not too soon for her. She took a deep breath and released it with a sigh.
“Was this too soon for you?” I asked the dreaded question not expecting her to give me the softest smile while shaking her head from side to side.
“No, Knight. I surely didn’t expect to meet your family this soon but I feel glad you asked. Your family is incredible. God, even the bantering between you and your mum, and then your dad ‘calming’ you guys down… it’s perfect.” she said and that sigh came out again.
