She’s glad for Sana, holding onto her shoulders because she has no idea what she’d do otherwise. Oliver and Harper both look at her like she’s a completely different person and she feels like that. They look confused and wary. They look at her like they don’t recognize the person standing in front of them. Shela doesn’t think she would either. She doesn’t see the same person staring back at her in the mirror that she did a year ago.     “What?” Oliver mumbles, slipping his hands into his pockets and shrugging. “Do you like, love her or something?”       The question forces a deep, desperate breath into Shela’s lungs and she shakes her head in refusal. She purses her lips against the words and reminds herself of what her mother said. There’s only one person she can tell first.
