Peach Cobbler

Aiden Later that evening, I left the hospital to return home for a change of clothes and to take a proper shower. I had my car brought to the hospital, but I preferred to walk most of the time. I followed along the road for a time before I veered off into the woods towards the direction of our house. Like most wolves, I preferred nature. I walked through the trees letting my mind and thoughts just wander. I made mental notes of everything that I knew needed to get done this week and planned to follow up with my Beta later to check on the progress. I, of course, trusted him with my life and my duties but I just like to know that things are being taken care of. Damien says I’m a control freak and I worry too much, but he doesn’t really worry about anything at all, so somebody has to do it. I talked about hiring an assistant to help with my paperwork but he always joked that it wouldn’t do me any good because I would just follow them around double-checking everything they did anyway. Ah hell, he’s probably right. Pushing all thoughts of work aside, I wondered about our new mate. I wish we knew where she was from or even her name. I had my Beta calling all of our allied packs and inquiring for any information about a pack that had a young female wolf, with white fur. So far nothing, but based on how many days that she ran and her speed, she could have come from anywhere really and there were hundreds of packs scattered all across the US. Finally, the outline of the house came into view. It was a massive, gorgeous three-story home, made with grey and white stone. It had large bay windows on the back that looked into the woods. The top floor had a rather large master suite on the east side and two other large bedroom suites to the west side with multiple storage closets and its own laundry. Damien and I currently each stayed in one of the bedroom suites in the west hall, saving the master for when we found our mate so that we may all stay together. The second floor contained our home office, a library, a gaming and theater room. The first floor was the kitchen, the formal dining room, the living room, a few other bedrooms for guests, and another laundry. The basement was a large open gym with a few mats in the center, along with several machines and weight sets. Damien and I had this house built when we merged our packs because it sits almost right in the middle of where our pack borders used to meet. This way, if there is ever an issue on either side, we can be there quickly. Walking through the front door, a delicious smell had me following it all the way to the kitchen, startling an unaware Julianna who was dancing around the kitchen to a radio playing in the background. “AAHHHH! Oh my gosh Alpha Aiden, I’m so sorry! You scared me!” She said with a bow. “No, my apologies! I didn’t mean to scare you. I was just coming home for a change of clothes when I smelled that delicious smell. What are you making in here? It smells amazing!” A big smile crept onto her face, “My mom’s peach cobbler.” Mrs. Jones's peach cobbler was hands down the best thing you have ever tasted. The woman was an amazing cook and an absolute treasure. She had been working for our family for years and when Damien and I came to this house, she insisted on moving near and continuing to cook for us. Stating that growing Alphas need proper nutrition and she would never forgive herself if we weren’t being well fed. Like I said, an absolute treasure. Shortly after, she began bringing her daughter Julianna to come help her in the kitchen. Julianna, now 15, had her mother’s knack for cooking and a love for food as well. Recently, I noticed her mother was having some pains, and after refusing to go get herself checked out, I just had the doctor come here. Turns out she had arthritis in her hips and walking was becoming painful for her. After forcing her to take some time off, Julianna said she is doing better but she herself insisted on still coming in most days to help cook for us. “What’s the occasion?” I asked in reference to the cobbler. I could eat Mrs. Jones's peach cobbler every single day but usually, she saved it for special occasions. “Well, Alpha Aiden, I know you and Alpha Damien have been staying at the hospital all week with that girl and after you asked me to prepare the Master Suite for her here, I was hoping that meant that you guys have finally found your mate? Forgive me if I’m wrong, I know it’s not polite to assume!” We had not told the pack yet that she was our mate, since she had not fully woken up yet and we truly didn’t know anything about her and were unprepared to answer any questions. Only a handful of people knew just how special she was to us. I looked down at little Julianna, her eyes were down towards the floor, her hands fidgeting, she looked almost embarrassed for now asking. I knelt down onto one knee and raised her chin up so that I could look her in the eyes. I couldn’t hold back my smile, “Yes Julianna, she is our mate.” I could see her eyes light up with excitement. I couldn’t help but laugh. “But I ask you to please keep that to yourself for the time being, until we officially make an announcement to the pack.” Jumping up and down, she threw herself forward and gave me the warmest hug. Not a lot of people would hug their Alpha but Julianna and her mom were like family. I returned the hug and after a moment, she bounced back up and started heading back to the fridge. “Oh my gosh! This is so exciting! I’m gonna make you guys some cookies; no, maybe some cupcakes. Oh, heck I’ll just make both!” I could not help but laugh at her as she suddenly began pulling things from the cabinets while mumbling to herself about ingredients. Making my way upstairs and into my room, I threw my clothes onto my bed and headed into the bathroom, turning on the shower. A quick shave and I went and stood underneath the hot water and let it relax my shoulders. After thoroughly washing, I couldn’t ignore the need in my c**k that was swollen and demanding attention. Being around our mate is definitely driving me crazy. I took my time in pleasuring myself, letting my imagination run wild with erotic thoughts. Drying myself off, I packed a bag with some clean pajamas and a change of clothes for tomorrow and took off downstairs. I grabbed the bag by the front door that Julianna had prepared with the peach cobbler, along with now several other goodies. “Alpha Aiden Wait!” I turned back around to see Julianna coming from the kitchen with another small bag, “here, take this.” I gladly take it from her. “It’s a whole roast, with potatoes and carrots, and some freshly baked bread and butter for you and Alpha Damien for supper tonight.” . . . “Have you guys been eating enough this week? I worry about you guys.” She was definitely her mother’s daughter alright. “Well, I can say that we will definitely be eating well tonight. Thank you, Julianna, this is wonderful!” and with that, I made my way back to the hospital. I could honestly say in that short amount of time, I found myself already missing my mates’ presence. I had barely walked through the door of the Alpha Suite at the hospital before Damien is out of his chair heading in my direction. “Where is it?! I can smell it!” I laugh, “it’s right here,” I state as I hand him over the bag with the peach cobbler, “she also sent a whole dinner for us tonight along with some other things.” While Damien begins helping himself to some food, I go over and take a seat next to her. I pick up her hand and kiss her knuckles one by one. “I’m back Princess.”
