Lessons Learned

As the room settled back down, I felt the tingling of the mate bond as Damien grabbed hold of my hand and quickly pulled me off of the training floor and down a long hallway. I glanced up just in time to see Aiden beaming down at me with pride.
Oh crap, is he upset with me? I guess she was still one of his warriors after all. I probably didn’t need to snap her arm like I did, but from my understanding, they trained in a brutal sort of way.
He finally opened a door and shoved me into this dark office. Before I could even speak, he had me thrown up against the wall, pinned against his hard body with his lips crashing down onto mine.
“Baby girl, I need you” he said with a deep growl, “I need you now”.
He was hard, fast, pushing against my pelvis with urgency.
He grabbed the waistband of my leggings and pushed them down off one leg, not even bothering to fully take them off. He wrapped my legs around his waist and thrust himself into me, hitting my back wall with such force he lifted me up off the wall. He wrapped his arms around my waist as he pounded into me, urgently needing his release.
The adrenaline from the fight had my body ready to go for him. I needed him just as much as he needed me, and I wanted him to know just how much I cared for him. I cried out his name as I quickly found my release.
He looked into my eyes, “I love you baby girl, I love you so damn much!”
“I love you too, Damien,” and hearing my words, he started to explode into me. I instantly brought forth my canines and sunk my teeth down into the crook of his neck, marking him as mine forever.
Walking back out to the training field, I didn’t care if Damien and I looked disheveled or if people could smell what we had just done.
I spent the rest of the class observing the warriors’ practice before Beta Keegan gave me a few instructions and filled me in on some recent maneuvers they had been working on. We sparred for a bit before he took over the class, switching with Beta Ian to come spar with me. We left some of the closer maneuvers to Ian; I didn’t want Keegan going home to his mate with my smell all over him.
Towards the end, when everyone was finishing up, a pretty brunette about my height but much more muscularly defined came over towards us.
“It’s such a pleasure to meet you, Luna! I’m Ashton.” She said, extending her hand after bowing to me first.
“Don’t worry,” Ian stated, giving me a devilish wink, “Ashton is one of the good ones,” causing her cheeks to blush slightly. There were only a few women among the elite warriors but it’s good to know that Damien didn’t date his way through all of them.
“It’s wonderful to meet you Ashton," I replied as I reached out, shaking her hand.
“Would it be inappropriate for me to thank you for finally giving Jessica the ass kicking that has been long overdue!”
Ian and I couldn’t help but laugh. I liked this Ashton
“Also, you were absolutely incredible up there! I thought maybe Alpha Damien wanted you with Beta Ian and Beta Keegan since you were new to learning, but now, I see that it’s because you’d accidently take us all out!”
Now we were all laughing and smiling.
We talked for a bit longer and I’ll admit it was nice to have a girly conversation. Maybe I have made my first female friend in the pack?

The next several days went by with a similar routine that I was learning to love; training in the morning with my mates, meeting with Lisa to continue preparations for the ceremony that is officially set for next weekend, going over battle strategies and other trade negations / Alpha duties with Aiden and then training in the evenings with the Betas during the elite sessions.
This morning though, when I came downstairs to meet my mates for breakfast, the mood was different. They were both quiet and they seemed on edge.
“What’s going on? Did something happen?”
“No princess, everything is fine. We were just discussing plans for today. Sit down and have some breakfast,” Aiden said, coming over to kiss my forehead.
“Ok, what plans for today did you guys have in mind?” This was definitely curious.
Damien finally spoke, “this morning Beta Ian is coming over to the house to train you.” Ok, other than him now coming to train me at our home instead of the facility, we had still been training together every day; I didn’t see what the big deal was.
He continued, “He is going to train you differently today. Very few members of the elite warriors are ever granted permission to train in this fashion as it can be dangerous.”
Aiden then spoke up, “But after witnessing everything that you are capable of, it is undeniable that the Moon Goddess has blessed you and chosen you for a purpose, and even though that purpose still remains unclear; we feel that this is a necessary lesson that you must learn.”
I was definitely feeling a little confused at this point, “Ok then, if this lesson is necessary, then why don’t you guys teach me?”
“This is one lesson that we cannot do for you princess,” Aiden replied.
“What lesson can the Beta teach me that my Alpha’s can’t? That doesn’t make any sense?”
Damien looked up from the table, “It’s not that we can’t baby girl, we normally are the ones who do, but it’s that we refuse to. Remember how we told you the first time you watched Aiden and I spar that we simply turned off the pain?”
I nodded, that I remembered.
“Well, Ian will explain shortly, he’s almost here.”
What in the hell is going on, “Ok, I train with Beta Ian and then what? What are we doing the rest of the day?”
“We are doing nothing the rest of the day, nor tomorrow. We will all be staying here at the house.”
“Ok but what . . .” my question was cut short when we heard a knock at the door.
Beta Ian walked in looking like his usually charming and upbeat self. He said hi to Damien and Aiden before turning his attention to me, “Good morning Luna, are you ready to get some training in today?” He said with a brilliant smile.
“I’m always ready!” my quick reply made him laugh out loud.
“Well great, let’s head downstairs and get started then, shall we?”
