“Is it done?” I hear our Alpha bellow out
“Almost Alpha, the last few reinforcements will arrive tomorrow morning.”
“Good. See that we are ready! I will not tolerate anyone failing me on this! Is that understood?!” He yells, projecting his Alpha command, forcing everyone down.
“Yes Alpha!” we all roar out in unison.
Tomorrow we openly declare war on the Blood Moon pack, even I didn’t think our Alpha was that much of a damn fool, but he wants the sacred white wolf. I go home to my mate and my pup to spend as much time as I could with them, because I know that tomorrow, a lot of us won’t make it back home. Declaring war against Blood Moon was almost certainly a death sentence.
I walk in and kiss my pup before wrapping my arms around my mate as she makes dinner, putting my face into her neck and inhaling her deeply, trying to forever hold onto her scent.
Camille
I wake up the next morning and stretch, taking note of how my body feels. Everything feels not only just healed but stronger, better than before. I jump up off the bed, stirring my mates and take a quick shower before getting dressed. Aiden is up and as chipper than ever as he starts getting around, Damien is moaning on the bed with his arm over his eyes trying to block out the light, “Ugh 5 more minutes.”
“Good morning princess, want me to bring food up?”
“Actually, I’m feeling great. I was thinking we could eat downstairs and then head into the office? I’m just ready to get out of the house for a bit.”
He laughs, “Sure thing”.
I head downstairs and walk into the kitchen. As soon as Julianna sees me, she drops her whisk and runs over, throwing herself at me in a warm hug.
“LUNA!” she squeals, “Oh thank the Goddess you’re feeling better! I was so worried!”
I couldn’t help but kiss the top of her head, “I’m feeling much better today! I came to see if I could help you with breakfast?”
“Not at all! Now please sit Luna, and let me feed you guys!”
She said with the sweetest commanding tone. I went and poured myself a cup of coffee as Julianna started setting breakfast out on the table. Before too long, my mates finally found their way into the dining room.
“Good morning baby girl” Damien says as he picks me up, smashing his lips onto mine in a hungry kiss. “You look like you’re feeling much better?”
“Much” I reply quickly as Julianna brings out the rest of the food.
“Alpha Damien, Alpha Aiden” Julianna addresses them with a bow. “Good morning, now if I could please make a request that you don’t let the Luna get hurt again like that. I was worried sick all weekend!”
I smiled; Julianna was such a caring soul, even giving her Alphas crap in my defense.
“You and us both Julianna!” Aiden said as he gave her a reassuring hug.
“And we promise, but I have the feeling next time she fights Beta Ian, he’ll be the one coming out worse for wear.” Giving me and Julianna a wink
Julianna’s eyes went wide, she turned around to look at me.
“Wait, you fought Beta Ian?!” her voice rose about 5 octaves. “He could have killed you Luna, I’ve seen him fight! He’s scary!”
“Beta Ian would never truly put my life in danger, but don’t worry Julianna, I’m a lot stronger than I look.”
She shakes her head, “I need to go bake something” and with that she headed back into the kitchen, leaving us all smiling at her cuteness.
After breakfast, we let our wolves out and went for a run. Neither of my mates wanted to spar with me just yet, saying to give my body a break, but the truth was every day since I have arrived, I have felt stronger and more powerful and, after Ian’s help, I feel unstoppable.
I took off into the woods, leaving my two Alphas now barely able to keep up when I hear it, bringing me to a full stop.
‘Save your strength, my child, you will need it for what is about to come. Trust in your instincts and I will help guide you.’
Damien and Aiden finally caught up to me, ‘what is it?’
‘I think she just spoke to me’ I say in the link.
‘Who?’ they asked.
‘The Moon Goddess, she said something is coming but that I will know what to do. I don’t know, I don’t like this feeling.’
They look at each other, ‘Let’s head back’.
* * * * *
We all walk into the top floor at their office, and they are quick to summon everyone up. Ian makes it in first as he was already here. After saying hi to Aiden and Damien, he heads towards me and places a hand on my shoulder.
I feel myself heating up slightly from embarrassment but also with arousal, remembering the dream I had that he had a front row seat too.
“I hope you don’t think any different of me, little Luna. Can you forgive me for what I did?” he asks, using the pet name he called me from my dream.
“Of course, I thought you had figured that out the other night?” I said sarcastically, realizing too late that I said that out loud, looking over seeing Aiden and Damien watching us with curious stares, looking confused.
He laughs and pulls me in for a hug; I can feel his c**k twitch against my lower stomach before he finally pulls away.
“Watch it,” Aiden warns.
Ian looks over at them, “Sorry, you know I can’t really help it right now.”
Damien started to ask about what happened the other night, but the embarrassing situation was saved when Beta Keegan and Delta Lucas walk in.
My mates share their concerns about an attack and ask if there has been any strange movements or rogue sightings that have happened recently.
“No, nothing Alpha, everything has been quiet like normal.” Delta Lucas reports.
My mates don’t disclose where these concerns came from when asked and I was grateful for that, I didn’t need all of them thinking I was crazy.
They started talking about a plan to increase the patrols at the border when, suddenly, mind links started pouring through.
‘Wolves, near the eastern border!’
‘They are here at the Northern border too!’
“Rogues?” one of the Betas called out.
“I don’t think so, Beta, they smell like they belong to Black Water.”
“s**t” I hear Aiden curse out, “What in the hell does he think he’s doing?!”
“I don’t know,” Damien said, “but Lucas, you and I will head North, Keegan, you and Aiden will go East. Ian, you will stay with Camille. Do not let her leave this office, that’s an order!” earning him an immediate ‘Yes Alpha” from Ian.
I start to protest when they both kiss me quickly, “We need to know that you are safe, please don’t fight us on this,” they say as they all run out the door. I can hear them make a pack announcement calling all warriors and telling all women and children to get inside or to a safe house.
I’m suddenly left alone with Ian, who looks as anxious as I do, “We need to be out there helping!”
“I can’t go against my Alpha’s orders, you know this.”
“Well, we can’t just sit here!” I tried to make a run for the door but before I could come close, Ian had grabbed a hold of me and held me against the wall.
“You are not leaving, I’m sorry.”
I run through scenarios in my head, debating on whether or not I think I could fight my way out against him, but I finally stop struggling. Even if I could debilitate him enough to get away, the last thing I wanted to do was injure him as a potential war is breaking out.
I finally go over and take a seat on the couch, hoping that there will soon be updates.
Aiden and Damien finally reach the border.
‘Something isn’t right’ I hear Damien’s voice come through
‘What do you mean?’ Ian asked.
‘They aren’t trying to attack’ he replied.
‘Same here’ Aiden says.
“s**t” I hear Ian curse, “It’s a distraction! Get back to the city!”
The next 45 minutes felt like hours as reports of rogues and Black Water wolves were coming from all over the territory. One link in particular had me shaking.
“Luna?” a terrified trembling voice came through, “JULIANNA! I’m here, where are you?!”
“I don’t know, I tried to run but they grabbed me.”
“Are you hurt? Where are you?!” I ask over the link as Ian now watches tears streaming down my face.
“I don’t know, they are dragging me back through the forest! I’m so scared!”
“Everything will be ok Julianna; I will come find you. Stay strong!”
Suddenly, the link closed, and I couldn’t feel her anymore.
