Past

When they reach home, Aastha directly takes Sunita to her room and make her rest.

After making Sunita rest in bed, she enters the kitchen to prepare dinner for both of them.

Aastha continued to worry as she remembers how Sunita had a small accident.

It's not that she is heavily injured too, she was just pushed by the people as it was crowded, and due to suffocation caused by the crowd, she fainted.

Sunita has just a few scratches here and there and cuts her hand because of the small pebbles on the road.

Aastha, herself knew that she is being paranoid but she couldn't help but worry that a single accident would once again make an orphan.

Only she knows what she had experienced after Sunita's death.

How loneliness makes her crazy to the point of no return.

How she hopes her mother to come and soothe her.

In this life, she doesn't want to experience those horrible things, those continuous nightmares, and those lonely nights without her mother's soothing lullaby.

Aastha was determined to protect her mother and their peaceful life but again Aayushma has once again entered her life which worries her to death.

As her mind was full of thought, she didn't notice she has cut her own hand while cutting vegetables.

"Ah!" exclaimed in pain.

When she notices, blood dripping from her fingers, she quickly washes it in the sink with cold water, cleans it, and tapes it.

After taking care of her injuries, she starts to make food without further distractions.

She takes Sunita's share to her room.

" Ma, I have made you soup and some non-spicy dishes," Aastha said to Sunita happily " please, eat it and you should finish it properly."

As Aastha put the food on the table at the side of the bed, Sunita notices the taped finger and frown.

" How did you injure yourself? can't you be a little careful?" Sunita asked with a worry laced tone.

When Aastha hears her mother, she smiles with tear-filled eyes and said: " I was just careless while cutting vegetables, it's just a small injury, I tapped it so it could heal properly, so don't worry Ma."

Sunita notices her moist eyes and frowns while shaking her head at Aastha " Now now, why are you about to cry from just mom's worry huh? "

" It's just Ma, care for me so much that I was moved," Aastha truthfully said.

" Silly child, if I don't take care and love you properly then who will? " Sunita said while rubbing Aastha's head affectionately.

Hearing Sunita's word, Aastha wipes her tears, she urges her mother to eat her food," Ma, let's stop being emotional, and eat your food before it's get cold."

" It's you who started it! " Sunita blamed Aastha.

" ok ok, it's me " Aastha smiled At Sunita and continues " please, eat your food, it's getting cold."

After Aastha urges her to eat food, Sunita eats it, and Aastha strictly advises her to take a rest then leave the room with the dirty plates of Sunita.

Aastha goes to the kitchen, puts the dirty plates in the sink, heats her share of food, eats it then washes the plates then clean the kitchen, and left for her own room.

On the way to her, she stops to look at Sunita.

When she notices Sunita sleeping soundly on her own bed, she quietly closes the door and goes to her room.

Then, Aastha takes a shower, brushes her teeth, changes her clothes to pyjamas, and goes to her bed.

Aastha closes her eyes and slept.

Suddenly she woke up in the middle of the night.

She takes her phone and looks at the time, it shows 2:20 AM.

She had a nightmare to be specifical she saw the day Sunita died in the hospital due to a heart attack.

She trembles as she remembers that day cause that day was the start of all her misfortunes.

She remembers at that time, she had already started to listen to the wrong people and was part of their group but she was still human with a brain and heart.

But with the death of Sunita, she lost all her hope until she met Aarzan Singh Rana.

However, it was a little too late as she was already transferred to the demon.

Aarzan loved her, with his everything but she was still missing something.

She missed her mom and her best friend.

She missed their laughter, their smiling faces, and mostly their love and trust in her.

Aastha did take advantage of Aayushma's kindness at first but she slowly started to cherish her relationship with Aayushma.

Until that sc*mbag enters their life and destroys everything they cherish be it their:

Friendship,

Trust with each other,

Or

Their lives.

Aastha clenches her fist and grinds her teeth as she remembers his smug face when accusing her of his wrongdoings.

Aastha was determined to stay away from Aayushma in this life, but due to an unexpected accident, she is already bound to her as a friend so she can't leave her alone now.

She will protect their friendship, this time she won't let anybody destroys it.

It has been 3 months since Sunita died.

Aastha has changed, she no longer laughs nor does she cry.

She was just a living corpse who only know to work nothing else.

Like every day she was about to go to work but today just as she was about to go She sees Aayushma enters her home.

Aastha wasn't surprised to see Aayushma entering directly inside her home as she did give her the key to her home, a long time ago.

But what surprised her was the sad and angry look on her face as well as the smug-looking Danish tailing behind her.

Aastha suddenly felt something was wrong but she still smiles and said;

" What happened? Who makes my best so angry huh? "

However, when Aayushma hears Aastha talking with a smile on her face, she exploded and threw the pieces of paper on Aastha's face.

" Did you become my friend just to take advantage of me? Did you....?" Aayushma asked, looking furious to the point she feels suffocated.

Danish put his arm on her waist as Aayushma staggered a bit and looks at Aastha with a provoking smile in his eyes.

Aastha couldn't utter a word, she was shocked and confuse by Aayushma's question.

But when she looks at the provoking eyes of Danish, she could somehow guess what happened.

She is suspicious of Danish ever since he asked for money in the name of the business.

But she didn't think of that matter now instead focus on answering Aayushma.

" Yes, at first I did become your friend cause I wanted to benefit from being your friend, one and only daughter of Mr and Mrs Singh but it changes as I began to understand you, I started to cherish our friendship" looking at Aayushma, Aastha explained calmly.

" Bullsh*t! If it just as you state, so what is this huh?" Aayushma picks up the paper from the floor and shows it to Aastha.

When Aastha reads the words written in the paper she was shocked and stunned.

In the paper, it was a copy of the ledger of the Singh Corporation office funds stating that Aastha had taken 200 hundred million dollars from it till now in the name of the office use.

" Tell me which company needs that much money for office use huh," Aayushma asked.

Aastha couldn't answer it cause she did take that money.

However, she has done that cause Danish asked her saying, Aayushma needed it for starting her own business.

Aastha looks at Danish in utter disbelief.

Aayushma notices her gaze and blocks Aastha's view of Danish.

" Why are you looking at him like that?" Aayushma asked and continued " It has nothing to do with him, he is just accompanying me, he even speak for you and asked me to confirm the matter clearly with you"

Behind Aayushma, Danish looks smugly at Aastha.

What could Aastha say to Aayushma after listening?

Could she say it was Danish who asked her, for money in the name of Aayushma?

Will Aayushma believe her just cause she said it?

No, she won't.

Aayushma love Danish very much, if Aastha points her finger at him Aayushma will think that she is making excuse.

When Aayushma notices that Aastha didn't answer her and just looking at her with a sad smile and tear-filled eyes.

Aayushma takes it as her tear and sad smile as a pang of guilt which was indeed true.

Aastha was feeling guilty and stupid for believing Danish words and taking money out of office funds without asking Aayushma even once.

She is feeling guilty for not telling the truth earlier to Aayushma.

And she is very guilty for not having the courage to tell Aayushma in fear that Aasyushma will choose to believe in Danish rather than her.

So all she did was stand there silently with a tear streaming from her eyes.

Whereas, Aayushma was furious and angry but what she feels the most was hurt, hurt from the betrayal from her best friend.

Hurt, for trusting her.

And

Hurt for blindly believing her.

But what she doesn't know was that Aastha was also hurt.

They were both played by him.

Aayushma loved him dearly,

whereas Aastha believed in Aayushma's choice blindly.

The more she remembers her past more she gets angry.

In this life, she doesn't want to lose anyone, and she definitely won't trust anyone.

She is determined to mess with those bas**ds if they cross her and her family's path ever again.

She is more mature than she was in her past life.

Her pain and suffering changed her.

She is the perfect example of saying;

"EVERY PAIN GIVES A LESSON AND EVERY LESSON CHANGES A PERSON"

Aastha had suffered a lot in her past life but her suffering gives her some valuable lessons which will act as future guidance in this life.
