Friend

On her way to the hospital, she has millions of thoughts in her mind.

She has already heard from Aayushma that Sunita is fine but she isn't fully reassured.

This is the shadow left in her heart by her mistakes of past life.

Sunita is her hope and reason to strive to be a better person.

If she disappears from Aastha's life, Aastha will sure dive into darkness.

As, her thought wander further and further, her worry increased.

In her constant worry, she doesn't notice that she has already reached the hospital until she hears Aayushma calling her.

Aayushma was waiting for Aastha, so Aastha doesn't have to search for them in every ward.

But she notices that Aastha was just lost in her thought with her scooty parked in the middle of the hospital's driveway.

She walks towards her, pokes her, and her name for a moment only then does Aastha notice her presence.

" What are you doing here and where is my mom?" Aastha worriedly questions Aayushma.

" I was waiting for you" Aayushma answer her.

Noticing her worry Aayushma hurriedly added " Don't worry! auntie is resting in her ward.

Listening to her, Aastha calms down a little, and heads to the ward Sunita is in.

As Aastha enters, she notices Sunita happily chatting with the nurse who was cleaning her wounds.

She hears Sunita urging the nurse to quickly clean her wounds, " Tina, could you please hurry up clean my wounds, if my daughter notices these wounds she will nag me continuously."

Nurse Tina just smiles and said, " Auntie, please rest assured, I will clean and bandage your wounds perfectly, but you should rest properly when you go home ok."

Sunita nodded her head " oh, you don't know that, if that daughter of mine sees me like this, she won't let me leave my bed much less my room, so you don't have to worry."

" Oh, you are absolutely right about that Ma," Aastha said as she enters the ward.

When Sunita heard Aastha's voice, she was petrified.

" Sweety, how.....how did you know I was at the hospital? " Sunita stuttered.

Sunita smiles sheepishly, as she notices Aastha was sad, worried, and angry.

" I couldn't reach through call, I was worried to death and here you are planning how you could hide things from" Aastha shooks her head disappointedly at Sunita.

" Thank god, It was my friend who took you to hospital, after knowing you are my mother, they call me immediately," Aastha was furious at her mother for not informing her about the accident.

When Aayushma hears Aastha saying, she was a friend, she was extremely happy but it wasn't the right time to point it out, so she just sat aside listening mother and daughter's argument.

Seeing Aastha's serious face, Sunita quickly holds her hand and explains "It's... it's not that I don't want to call you, it's just that my phone broke and it was just a minor accident too. Nowadays you are quite busy too with your work so I didn't want to further worry you."

Hearing Sunita's explanation, Aastha was furious and sad " Ma, are you telling me my work is more important than you ao I don't care about you at all rather should I say you don't believe in me huh."

" Ma, did you even believe me?" tears roll down Aastha's eyes as she spoke further.

Right now Aastha was sitting at the bedside and crying.

Seeing Aastha tears, Sunita was flustered and anxious.

Aastha wipes her tear, looks at Sunita, and said " If something same happens to me shortly, I also won't inform you so that you don't have to worry or leave your work for me, how about that Ma"

When Sunita hear Aastha, she anxiously said " How can you say that! you are my daughter, my own flesh and blood! you are more important than my work and if you don't inform me just because I will worry then it will just make me worry more."

" Is that so Ma? when you do the same thing, you are just thinking about me but if I do that then I am wrong! how can be so unfair Ma! " Aastha pointed out the mistake of Sunita.

When Sunita heard Aastha's accusations, she was somewhat ashamed and stunned.

" Ok ok, it was my mistake, next time something like this happens I will inform you first," Sunita reassures Aastha.

When Aayushma notices that the problem between mother and daughter is solved, she enters their line of vision and introduced herself politely.

" Hello, auntie; I am Aastha's friend, reading the same major in T university, It was me who admits you to the hospital and inform her too."

" Oh, it was you" Sunita smiles at her " thank you, my dear. By the way, how do you recognize me?"

Aastha was also curious to know, just how Aayushma knew her mother.

" When you were unconscious, you have the purse in your hand where you kept the photo of Aastha and yours when I saw the photo I instantly recognize her" with Aayushma's explanation Sunita made an " oh " sound in surprise.

Then Aayushma suddenly bows her head and makes an apology " And I am sorry for looking at your purse" she then takes out the purse and gives it to Sunita.

" I just look at it for your information, so I could inform your relative. I hope you could forgive me" she once again apologizes.

Hearing Aayushma's sincere apology, Sunita smiles and moved her hand as if it's nothing before saying " It was thanks to you, I am fine and ready to go home, so don't apologize and made me embarrassed."

Aayushma nodded at Sunita's word.

After finishing all the formality at the hospital Aastha takes Sunita home after bidding Aayushma home with a promise to visit Sunita the next day.
