WEEK 2: CHARACTERS

1. Background of the Protagonist

Kaela Klein is the only bastard child of Kael Klein, a business magnate in Sector III, who is a mage. Her father sired five of her mother's children. The other two, on the other hand, had different fathers. As children born out of wedlock, they were discriminated and tormented by the public and the head family of the Klein. His father has three children with his original wife, two boys and one girl, and the only girl, Kylie, hates her to death, she probably was the one to volunteer her for the tournament. 

Kaela hates the tournament as much as she hates her parents and her father's family. In three prior games, the Kleins were chosen by the Blue Flame to participate; and in those three games, her three siblings came back either as an invalid or heavily injured which caused them to become bed-ridden and useless. And none of these seemed to stop their mother from agreeing to volunteer them for future tournaments, because once you hail as a victor of the tournament, you rise up one rank higher, and you automatically have a spot in the high society. As they were the bastard children, they were often sacrificed for their family's comfort. 

Kaela has no interest to join, but because her father forced her to do so, and her mother threatened her to offer her next sibling, Khloe, as the representative of their family, she was forced to agree. The threat irritates Kaela even more. Khloe is only 13 years old, and a non-mage. How could their mother offer her like a sacrificial lamb? 

With the chance to participate in the game, she hoped to win and get her siblings away from their parents' reach. 

2. Character's personality.

Kaela was a rebel child. Akin to her father's trait, she was a hot-headed person. She often clashes with her mother when it came to her sibling's security and future. 

As the only mage among her siblings with her mother, she's often feared by the when she's angry. She wears a straight face most of the time. She doesn't play around because her number one mission is to give her siblings a less unfortunate life. Her rudeness was her defense mechanism. She would rather want for the people to be intimated by her, than she will be scared of them. She has one thing that most of the people in their rank doesn't, magic. More reason for her not to be back down and be afraid to those who torments her family. 

3. Physical feature

Aside from magic, Kaela got most of her features to her father. From her long wavy mahogany hair which compliments her heart-shaped face, to her hazel eyes, her proud nose, her tall frame, and athletic built.

4. Social Relationship

Soliel Suarez: Kaela's best friend. She was a low rank like her, but nevertheless found a true and real friend with her. Soliel was the oposite of Kaela, she is soft-spoken and courteous to anyone. She balances their friendship. 

Kaizer Klein: Kaela's eldest brother with her parents. Kaizer's legs and spine were heavily injured during the tournament which left him disabled. He was the closest sibling to Kaela. Growing up, he was the father-figure to their siblings and the one who took care of them when their mother was not around.  He was the only person that Kaela's listens to.
