Jess limply opened his eyes. He has been seated in his car for the last five hours since he got back from his unsuccessful manhunt. He has not eaten anything solid yet. Just a small bowl if beef congee and he did not even manage to consume it completely for it was too salty for him. And it wasn’t even beef but pork meat. He just picked the tiny slices of meat floating in his bowl and left it still half-filled. Now, he was taking the toll. Extreme lack of proper sleep and several meals skipped rendered his whole body almost immovable. Jess was starting to run out of resources for his ‘benevolent’ employer hasn’t sent any additional funds for the mission that he had.
