Carla was about to defend herself. But she couldn’t. ‘ You can’t lie to me Carla. There were many witnesses that mistreated a specific customer. And you Daniel, do you have no shame? Even if Rose is your friend she is also a customer. And when she tells you her concerns and feelings you just brush it off like it’s not a big deal ‘. Taylor says to both of them. He was disappointed in them. They were about to say something but he didn’t allow them to. ‘ First of all Daniel, you may be the manager of the day. But you don’t act like one. A manager should always keep things professional and not fall in love with any of their employees. You should always listen to the concerns of customers instead of ignoring them ‘. Taylor says to him in a serious voice. Daniel starts to frown.

‘ Sorry Daniel and Carla, this is not your first warning. It seems like there are people reporting about you both. So a meeting and other investigations will be coming soon. Be prepared. Because if you don't; then you guys will be more surprised than ever ‘. Taylor says to them. They stay quiet. He looked at Isaac. He wonders if he will be prepared. Since he could tell Isaac wants to be an assistant manager just like Doug. He wanted this promotion. But he has to show it to him and to his friend. Because it’s not up to him. It’s up to the owner and the higher ups. He stays in the store. ‘ Isaac since you want to be an assistant manager you must show me how loyal you are to this job. Because I will give you plenty of tasks. Hopefully you can accomplish it ‘. Taylor says to him.

He could see him nodded in agreement with no hesitation. He wanted to know how serious Isaac will go for this position. He smiles in delight as he looks at Rose. As for Rose, she knew what he was thinking. She shook her head as she knew where this was going. ‘ Your first task Isaac is to report to me everything that Daniel and Carla are doing. Making sure they aren’t fooling around with each other. Nor will they be on their phone while at work. This store may not have security cameras but it will have one in all sections of the store. So be ready for that! ‘. Taylor says to him. His voice was laced with authority as his face was serious. He watched him nod his head in agreement.

Isaac had no choice but to do what his boss asked. Since he really wants to be an assistant manager. He took a deep breath as he nodded towards him. ‘ What’s next? ‘. Isaac says to his boss. He doesn’t like how this is going. He heard the part about not using their phones at work. But also he could tell that Daniel’s girlfriend Rose is very important to his boss. So he accepted without thinking. Taylor took a deep breath. He could tell that Daniel and Carla started to frown. They knew there wouldn’t be any privacy anymore. ‘ Your second task is to make Rose happy. And listen to what she says. Her words are absolute no matter whatever anyone thinks. She’s an important person. She gets a say to it. I’m serious about what I said. Make no mistake if I heard anything about anyone mistreating her in any shape and form, it will be known by someone else ‘. Taylor says to him. Everyone gasps.

Daniel didn’t know about this. He wondered if his friend knew about this. He watches Rose’s face become emotionless. He couldn’t read what she was thinking. It was as if she blocked him in doing so. He turned to Isaac. He could tell his serious face was on. ‘ Yes sir! ‘. Isaac says to his boss. ‘ As for you my dear, I am sorry for the way Carla treated you while she’s on the job. I trust your instinct. Your concerns and well-being are very important to me and to this store ‘. Taylor spoke to Rose as he turned his head to face her.

Everyone watches where their boss is looking. As for Taylor, he watches her in deep thought. He could tell she was thinking. Rose took a deep breath. She closed her eyes. Then she opened them slowly. “ It’s okay Taylor, you didn’t know that these people would act this way. I can’t speak for everyone since I’m not them. But I have observed them whenever I can. Is it possible to speak to you in private please? There is something that I’m concerned about ‘ . Rose says to him as her eyes laid on Carla. Taylor heard what she said. He’s happy that she spoke her mind. He would do anything for change to happen at the store. He could tell that everyone working here is lazy. Except for Doug.

He noticed there will be a new store manager. He believes that the higher up chooses the person. He was about to leave with her when her stomach started to growl. Her stomach sounds like a kitty. She starts to become flustered in embarrassment. ‘ Sorry about that. It seems like I haven’t eaten anything since morning. And me thinking too much made me hungry ‘. Rose spoke to the district manager Taylor. She hides herself in shame. For him, he places his hands on her arms in a friendly manner. ‘ Please don't be shy. It’s cute when you’re embarrassed ‘. He says to her as he chuckles at her. Daniel could see and hear what’s going on. There it goes again. He felt a stabbing pain from his heart.

He doesn’t understand it. When he saw his boss talking to his friend in a friendly manner it made his heart ache. He noticed that his female friend never took notice of him when she entered the store. (Is it possible that I didn’t understand Rose at all? Not one bit. I tried my best to gain her trust. Since I hurt her many times). Daniel was thinking to himself as he watched on. He starts to have a bad feeling. It’s not a good feeling. ‘ You don’t have any say about this you b***h! Daniel loves me. He doesn’t love you. You’re nothing but a w***e. Opening your legs for every guy you meet to sleep with them! ‘ Carla shouted out across the store. She finally lost it.

She starts cursing towards Rose. She continues to berate her without knowing who Rose was. The district manager Taylor heard it. He took a deep breath. He didn’t know that hiring her would cause trouble for the store. He turned to face Rose. He watches as her face is emotionless. Rose starts to giggle at what the female worker says to her. ‘ That’s not very nice Carla. Do you not care about your job? Do you not care about the well being of this store or even your family? YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY SAY ABOUT THIS CARLA PARIS! You may be hired by someone who works here. But know your place. You are nothing to me. You are nothing to this store. You hear me, you ungrateful little human! ‘ Rose tries her best to talk to her without lifting a finger as her voice continues to rise up.

Every word she says was laced with authority. Daniel and Isaac watch the two girls talking to each other. They don’t know what to do. Daniel will always defend Carla for no reason. As for Isaac, he wants to defend her. But, at the same time, he doesn’t want to lose his chance of being an assistant manager. He walked towards Rose. She watches him where he was doing. She would never let her guard down. Rose saw Issac walking towards her as he stood next to her. ‘ Good choice, Isaac. You would be a great assistant manager ‘. Rose says to him in a sincere way. It was only Daniel left. But, she knew that Daniel would defend Carla no matter what even though she was with him the whole two years. She sighs. She could see in the corner of Carla that she was smiling in victory. But, she won’t keep this up for long.
