The man finally reach work on time. It was 8:59am. That was one minute before it. ‘ You should go. I don’t want you to be late ‘. The women says to Daniel. She watches him nodded in agreement. He was about to leave. ‘ Wait! Your keys. Your wallet. Your phone ‘. The women says to him. He just give it all to her. Since he didn’t want to be late. The women gesture to her lips. And he lean in. He kiss her. He knows it’s suppose to be a good luck charm. That’s what he tells himself that. The women stays quiet. He went inside the store. As for the women, she look out at the window of the truck. She was sitting in the passenger’s seat. She could tell it was gloomy and cold.

She plays games on her phone. Like she always does. She tries to waste time. Since, she knew she has a job interview via zoom at 12:30pm. She was planning to get three jobs to hire her. Because she wants to earn lots of money before her birthday next year. She has three months left. The women had to wait two weeks. Since the job interview she already did yesterday. That store won’t open until the month of October. So she was hopping she got the job. Because she can’t apply to other jobs from other cities. To her, she doesn’t know how to drive yet. People didn’t want her to be with Daniel. One crazy girl tries to warn him by cyberbullying her. She think that she pretend to be some guy name Alex Rameriz.

He think she gave him some STDs. She never met him. And then he mention another guy name. A guy name Eric Garner. But the women doenst know them. The women didn’t believe the imposter. Because, she always get check by her gynecologist. Whether to see if she has STDs. And you know what? It came out all negative. There was nothing to worry about. The women got bored. She open one of her app. It was called Smule. She had twelve followed and eighty eight following. She decide to look at the news or activity on the app. And there were a lot of invites. She decide to sing some songs. And she did. She felt better. When she look up, the gloomy sky becomes not so gloomy.

The sky appears to have some lights. The sun came out of hiding. The sky was clear. It was reacting to her. They were happy to hear her voice. The women saw Daniel. He was doing his job. After he help a customer, he saw his female friend checking him out. The women tries to resist the urge to roll her eyes. Because he wasn’t worth it all. He came to walk towards his truck. ‘ When will you get a lunch break Daniel? ‘ The women ask her friend. She saw him taking a deep breathe as he sigh. ‘ I would probably have a three hour lunch ‘. He said to her. She blinked her eyes. She didn’t believe what he says. But she heard it. ‘ There is the good news and the bad news ‘. He said to her. He took a deep breathe.

The women could see him carrying something. She stayed quiet. A few minutes have passed. The women closed her eyes as she took a deep breathe. She tries to calm her heart as she slowly open her eyes. ‘ Good news and bad news? ‘ The women asked him in confusion laced in her voice. Her eyes were fixed on his. She never look down. The man nodded to her. It was signaling her telling her that ‘ yes ‘ when he shake his head up and down. ‘ The good news is that the store would close early. And I would have three hour lunch and I have to go back ‘. The man spoke to her. Since, they were closed to her window of the passenger seat. ' Isn’t there anyone closing the store ? ‘ The women asked him. She could see him shaking his head saying ‘ no ‘.

The women’s mouth was forming an oh. ‘ The bad news is that there’s no one closing the store. So they are trying to call someone to close the store for them ‘. The man said to his friend. The women nodded. The man was about to leave. But, he saw his friend making a gesture from her lips. He smiled as he took a deep breathe. He walk closer to the window of his truck. The women stick out her head. He move his head to kiss her lips. And then he left after saying something from the distance. ‘ Why can’t we just close the store early ‘ ? The man whisper to himself. But the women heard it. She couldn’t forget what Daniel did to her two years ago. She hatesThe women was bored. She missed her zoom job interview at 12:30pm. Her mind was occupied with things. Was it really love?

Was this the feeling she felt? It’s hard to explain. She knows she’s not a gold digger. She’s not obsessed with him that much. She doesn’t know if she should let go. Let go of this feeling. A feeling that she won’t get him. Since, it was all the two girls fault. It has been messing with her mind lately. She wasted her time being with Daniel. She thought he loves her. But that was wishful thinking. She has to pretend everything is alright. She stop mention Sophia’s name. She stop mentioning Annie’s name. She knew that he was talking to them. Or having s*x. Why does she care? She’s suppose to be emotional numb. The feelings she has is starting to become dangerous. She took a deep breathe. She tries to calm both her mind and heart. She felt that sharp pain in her heart. The strong love she had for Daniel is slowly killing her from within. She wants to forget. She wants to move on. But she couldn’t.
