THE GIRL BOOK I

Book I, Chapter 15

The man didn’t understand what the lady was saying. But, he likes the sound of her voice. The women nodded in agreement. She has a feeling that this person in front of her doesn’t understand latin. She cleared her throat slightly and softly. ‘ Thank you for opening the door for me sir ‘. The women spoke again. However; she translated it to him in English. The man raises his head towards her. He looked straight at her. And she heard the word ‘ You’re welcome ‘ to her. Then, the man left after the woman was inside the store.

The workers at O’Reilly Auto Parts were arguing among each other. They hear whispers of other customers. They want to know what was going on. They turn their heads to face the person in question. In their eyes, they saw a beautiful woman. She was way more beautiful than the blonde-haired girl. The one who knows her as Carla. The other guy with black hair and glasses was there too. He was shocked too. There were no spoken words.

The woman turned her head. It was as if she was looking for someone or something. A person that appears to be the boss of the store was there. But, the woman stays quiet. She made it professional to show up. She saw him. She smiles towards his direction. The woman took off her sunglasses. And she put it on top of her head.

If anyone knew who she was, they would welcome her with open arms. But, the first person approached her. It was a blonde-haired girl. She tries her best to smile at the customer. But, there were no sparks in them. Since, her eyes show it all. The woman starts to frown for a little bit. Then, she composed herself.

‘ Hi, quaero car accessiones quae spectant bona pro carro materno meo. Quid commendes? ‘ (Hi, I am looking for car accessories that look good for my mom’s car. What would you recommend?) The woman spoke to the blonde-haired teenage girl. Since, she was the one who approached her first. Even though she didn’t think the customer would be speaking in Latin. But, she didn't understand what she was saying. She looks towards the other person. The one who she knows as Issac Johnson. As for the blonde hair girl, she was known as Carla Paris.

Issac noticed the woman was speaking Latin. So, he took out a small book about it. ‘ Hi quid agis hodie? ‘ (Hi, how are you doing today?) He tries his best to speak Latin to her. She was impressed that someone could speak it. ‘ Bene facio. Deo gratias. Et tu? ‘ (I’m doing fine. Thanks. How about you?) The women respond back. The woman waits for him to respond. But, she saw him scratching the back of his head. She knew that he couldn’t understand what she was saying.

The beautiful woman giggles softly. She took a deep breath. ‘ Young man! You’re latin you spoke was good ‘. The beautiful woman says to him as she compliments him. Issac turned to the female customer. He nodded his head in agreement. He was shocked to see a beautiful girl. More beautiful than his coworkers. ‘ What is your name? Was it Issac? If you’re wondering how I know your name this blonde hair teenage girl called out to you ‘ . The beautiful woman asked this person in front of her.

The man nodded. It was telling her that his name was indeed Issac. He gave her his pearly white teeth. The women giggle softly. ‘ You ask me how I am doing today. So I ask the same question as you guys ‘ . The beautiful woman said to a spanish guy named Issac. This time she didn’t have to keep saying the black hair and white skin spanish guy anymore in her mind. She smiles back at him showing her pearly white teeth. Her teeth were straight and clearly white. She wasn’t wearing any braces on her teeth.

‘ I am doing fine. One of my work friends Daniel not so much. And another work friend Carla not so much either ‘. Issac says to her as he pointed at each of his friends that matches their name. The person that appears to be the boss was watching them how they treat this beautiful customer. Since, he was the only one who knew who she really was. He held his breath that he didn’t know he was doing it. He was making sure none of them were making any mistakes.

The beautiful woman put one of her hands on her pocket. She pressed a voice memo to record the conversation. She will record it and show proof that one of them needs to be trained. If this is how they treat the customer like this. She knew instantly that Issac and Daniel would greet the customer. Only one person didn’t. It was Carla. She smiled and greeted other female customers. But, never her. She took a deep breath.

This time it was Daniel’s turn to speak. He cleared his throat. He already finished helping the customer he was helping. He raises his head. And he gazes at her. She could tell he wasn’t looking at her boobs. Which shows how interested and invested he was towards her. She had a feeling that this Daniel person is interested in beautiful girls. Not much on his other friend.

The women didn’t care anymore. Her emotions were numb. Everything that was once before is now closed. The woman was in deep thought. She was thinking wow so men treat me differently once I am beautiful. But when I appear, fat and ugly men wouldn’t be interested in me. The woman knew how much her friend Daniel changed. She could tell his eyes sparkled with curiosity.

There were other customers waiting in line. So, Issac and Carla help them. Daniel was about to go and help but his boss called out to him. He approached his boss. ‘ Daniel , there will be a meeting. All of us will be discussing a particular customer. Because; we got a report informing us that a blonde hair girl was giving the customer a bad attitude. And that she needs to be trained with mannerism. If she doesn’t change; she will get fired ‘ . Their boss says to him. ‘ Daniel looked over his shoulder. ‘ But the only blonde-haired girl that was here is actually — ‘. Daniel says to his boss but he stops him. ‘ Yes, the description fits which is indeed Carla Paris. It seems ‘.

Carla heard her name being called. The customer she was helping out was done. So, she went over to where Daniel was. Issac heard her name too. He starts to frown. Since, he also heard what their boss says. ‘ Do you know who reported that? ‘ Issac says to their boss. ‘ Afraid not. It was anonymous. And it seems that the customer that came into this store where Carla was working at that time is very important to this person so it seems like they reported the way she got treated. There is proof of what happened ‘. The boss says.

‘ I didn’t give any customers any attitude. I gave them smiles and talked to them ‘. Carla says as she defends herself. That was true. She did give people the same respect. However; there was one particular customer that Carla didn’t. She thought really hard about who it was. ‘ Do you know anyone that came to the store that Carla gave a bad attitude to ? ‘ The boss asked them. Issac shakes his head.

The women heard it. She starts to frown at what Carla says. She took a deep breath. She knew that was a lie. Because; she can hear Carla’s heart rate going up when she tries to defend herself. The boss saw her frown. And he didn’t like seeing her frown. But, he didn’t say anything. She compose herself. She smiles towards them. There was proof how she treated her when she was, you know, looking fat and ugly. The way she gave her that dirty look. She sighs and shakes her head. She disagrees with what Carla says.

The moment Carla lay eyes on the beautiful woman. She could feel the same rage she felt from the other person. ‘ Sir, the only one that came to see Daniel was his girlfriend ‘ . Issac says to him. He couldn’t lie to his boss. He wasn’t able to even if he tried. Because; no matter how much he tries to change his way of speaking; the truth will come out. It was all the doing of the beautiful women. But, he didn’t know that.

Daniel looks straight at Isaac when he mentions HER. ‘ Don’t deny it Daniel. I could see the way you treat that girl of yours. She was with you every time you went to work ‘. Issac says to his work friend. The woman tries her best not to smile. Their boss didn’t know that. Carla didn’t know that. She wonders why Daniel asks her out that day if he already has a girlfriend.
