Book I, Chapter 20

It took only 15 minutes to be done. So, it was now 9:30pm. Everyone was done. Isaac left with Carla. While Daniel went to the golden truck. There he saw his female friend sleeping peacefully. Taylor followed him to his truck to talk to him. When he did, he was surprised to see HER. He recognized her really well. Daniel tapped on the window of his truck gently. It was his way to get her attention. His female friend heard it. She slowly opened her eyes. Then close it. Since it was her way to flutter her eyes. In which to have her eyes to adjust it. She starts to yawn. She followed where the sound was. She wasn’t happy to see him. With just one glance, she saw the district manager Taylor next to him.

She smiles towards him. However; Daniel mistakes it as her smiling towards him, not Taylor. Her eyes roamed where Daniel was pointed at. She took a deep breath. She went to the driver's seat to open the door for him. It was the only polite way of doing it. After that, he noticed her even without appearing “ fat “ to them. Daniel was putting his stuff in the back of his truck. As for her, she saw that Taylor was about to say something. But, for her; she gave him a silent gesture. He nodded towards her as he smiled. She smiled back. Daniel was done. He saw his friends looking at the person next to him. ‘ My friend, this is my district manager. His name is Taylor Zhang ‘. He says to her as she introduces her to him.

‘ Taylor sir this is my friend's name Rose Heart ‘. He introduced him to her. Daniel watches the exchanges. He saw his boss smiling towards Rose for the first time. He felt strange. His heart starts to ache for no reason. He watches her give his boss a genuine smile for once. His heart starts to beat so fast when looking at her. He tries not to get a b***r from watching her. Since his boss was next to him. ‘ It’s a pleasure to meet you Taylor. Next time when you don’t have work; let’s be friends. If that is okay with you ‘ . Rose says to him in a polite way. Her voice was enchanting. She watches him nod in agreement. She could also feel a jealousy aura coming from her guy friend. After that, Taylor left his car and drove away. Daniel did the same thing. He drove back to his place in Berkeley.

A Gloomy Day

Today is Friday. Friday is somewhat a weekend. Today’s date is September 22, 2023. The women heard a faint sound. She thought she heard a cat meow. The woman opened her eyes slowly. She was half asleep. Then she went back to sleep. She wasn’t a morning person. She looked to her left. She saw what time it was. Her eyes were wide open. She wasn’t late for work. Since she doesn’t have a job, she doesn’t have to worry. The women didn’t think it’s right for the man to know the time. But, she didn’t want her friend to be late. So what the hay right? The women took a deep breath. ‘ Fudge! It’s eight o’clock in the morning ‘. The woman says to herself in a whisper. The man slightly heard it as he started to wake up. But when he looks at his phone he starts to wake up really fast. Which then made the man and women wake up at eight o’clock in the morning.

The man starts to panic because his work starts at nine o’clock in the morning. The man starts to get his stuff ready for work. While the woman does her business in a timely manner. The woman rolled her eyes. The man didn’t see that. The woman knew that even if she did wake the man up. The man wouldn’t wake up no matter what. So in a sense the man will be late either way. It’s not common knowledge. Everyone knew that.

The women finish using the bathroom. She flush the toilet. Then she washes her hands. She starts to undress herself. Since, it was time to take a shower. But first; she checked up on her guy friend. She found him in the laundry room of his place. He was taking his slow ass time. The women gaze at him. The man took notice. ‘ I’m taking out my clothes. Since I was doing them last night ‘. The man spoke to his female friend. It was as if he felt like he got caught.

The women didn’t say anything. She stayed quiet. The man took everything out of the dryer. He looked up and saw his female friend. His gaze was towards her body. The women could feel him gulping. Like there was something stuck in his throat. But there wasn’t. His eyes roam freely on her body from top to bottom. He likes what he sees. The woman watches him adjust his sweatpants.

‘ Are you going to take a shower, Daniel? Since you told me that we should leave at 8:30am ‘. The woman called out to her friend. The man finally has a name. The women got tired of addressing him “ the man “ in the story. Every time or whenever she mentions him to her mind. She took a deep breath. The woman knew he wouldn’t respond to her with his name on it.

Typical man. The woman shakes her head in displeasure. ‘ Are you going to take a shower, Daddy?! Since you told me that we should leave at 8:30am ‘. The woman spoke in a cute and seductive voice towards him. The man heard it. He raises his head to look at her. His eyes were on her boobs and body. He didn’t know where else to look. The woman cleared her throat. Daniel heard it. ‘ You like what you see, Daddy? ‘. The women said in a lowly seductive way. Daniel shakes his head up and down. It was signaling to her that he said ‘ yes ‘. The women smirk. She could tell Daniel was gulping. He was holding his breath that he wasn’t aware of.

The women turned away.

‘Well daddy if you’re done with those clothes of yours then come join me in the shower then ! ‘ The woman said to Daniel. She starts to giggle her way to the bathroom. She closed the bathroom door as she entered it. She grabbed the handle to turn on the water in the shower from the bathtub. She checks to see if it’s warm. But it didn’t. Because the water was cold. So, she turned the handle all the way to the left. Then, she pulled that small button stick up. For the water to come out of the holes where the shower is supposed to be. She closed the curtains of the bathroom she or. Since she didn’t want the bathroom floor to get wet. She waits for a few minutes.

She took a deep breath. She had a feeling the water was still cold. So, she starts to brace herself from it. She didn’t mind taking cold water. It helps her body to feel normal. Since hot water makes her and her body become extremely itchy. Which would tell you that she was allergic to heat. After a while, the woman starts to enter the bathroom slowly. Since the bathtub floor was already wet. She didn’t want to fall and hurt herself. To the point she gets amnesia. She thought of it. But, she never acts upon it. The women still have lingering feelings for Daniel. She has strong love feelings for him. Even when she tries to look for another man on a dating app. Nothing compares to him that was better.

Love plays in a mysterious way. For her, it was her first time choosing to fall in love with someone. It was by her own choice. It wasn’t anyone else. or make believe in love. It was the love that was hard to describe. She doesn’t know if this is true love. Because, she never experienced any other man she once was with in her past. The woman took the ocean breeze shampoo in her hands. She spread it nicely until she put her hands on the top of her head. She spread the blue shampoo on her hair. First the top then leading towards her other strands of hand. She has long hair. But she couldn’t comb her hair since she doesn’t have money to afford it. She tolerates it. She combed her hair with her hands. It was the only way to keep it not tangled.

She left the blue shampoo on her hair. Then, she grabbed the fragrance soap in her hand. She’s allergic to anything that is fragrance. But that’s the only soap that Daniel had in his bathroom. So she took a deep breath and soap her whole body. She tries to fight the urge to scratch her body. Since the soap didn’t help much. After that, she rinses the shampoo and soap off. She let herself in underneath the water. Until, she heard the door of the bathroom open then closed. She couldn’t open her eyes. Because she didn’t want the soap and shampoo to get into her eyes.
