THE GIRL BOOK I

Book I, Chapter 8

She woke up from her long nap. She felt agitated. She felt something was wrong. She could tell the blue car she saw from the start wasn’t there. From where she was, she could see the man and his female coworker with blonde hair being too close for comfort. From what she saw, she saw that the blonde hair girl was kissing him at work. But, she could tell there were customers. She took a deep breath.

She thought they were kissing. But they could be. The man was by the cash register, the one that is close to the door. While the blonde girl was from the other cash register. They don’t appear to be going their separate way. She took a deep breath. She acted like she didn’t see it.

She went inside the O’Reilly Auto Parts at Moeser Shopping Center in El Cerrito, California. Since, she needs to go to the bathroom. When she entered the store, she could tell they switched the cash register. And they were separate. The blonde hair girl made it seem like they weren’t touching each other. They were just here to work and do their job. But the woman wasn’t a fool.

She could read her body language. She stayed quiet when she came inside the store. But, before she was all talkative to her customers. However; when she came into the store; she became quiet. She was a customer too. She felt the difference of how the blonde hair girl treats her. There was no respect.

No matter. She went to the store with confidence. She held her chest up. She didn’t slouch. She walks confidently and beautifully. The customers there turn to look in her direction. They didn’t say anything. She was about to approach the female coworker with the blonde hair pen. But, the man stepped right in front of her.

The women look up straight at his face. She could feel fear in this man. Like he got caught for doing something he’s not supposed to do. She remains emotionless. The man approached her. ‘ I need to use the bathroom ‘. The woman spoke gently with authority in her own voice. She had a serious face when asked. The man couldn’t read what she was thinking.

He does what he does best. He pretends to be happy to see her. She could tell it was fake and planned. She stares at him. ‘ I’m here to say hi that’s all ‘ . The man spoke to her. She doesn’t believe what he says. Since, he has a history of lying to her. It took two years for her to realize it. She stayed quiet.

(Two can play in this game. If that’s how you would act towards me. Then let’s play a game of charades then). The woman said to herself. She knew what game they were playing. She knew what the blonde hair girl was playing at too. She pretends she doesn’t see nor hear anything. She wraps her arms around the man. I was supposed to give him a hug.

She directly hugged the man. The blonde hair women see it. She was seething in rage. She was mad. But she has to play it like she wasn’t. She has to do this professionally. She didn’t want another investigation happening again.

Out in the shadow of the store, lies the same figure of people. They gasp at what they saw. They smile gently towards the women in front of them. “ Wǒmen zuìhòu zhǎodàole tā! “ (We found her at last!). They didn’t like how the blonde hair girl was treating the women. They also were seeing in mad. But they had to wait until they were given orders to move in.

The woman felt like she was being watched. It wasn’t a dangerous feeling. It felt familiar to her. She stayed quiet. She went directly to the bathroom after she told her guy friend. She went there to do her business. She also makes sure to look for her Id card and the Barnes & nobles card too. It was gone. It wasn’t there any more.

The women knew what’s up. She could feel the chill in the air. There was no window in the bathroom. She tries to control her emotions. But it was hard not to. She could see what she saw. When she didn’t come out, she thought she saw the man and the blonde hair girl kissing from this distance.

The sound of cracking from within took place. She couldn’t hold it anymore. The sound of glass breaking from the lights appears. People that were in the store reacted. She went out. When she did, the sound of broken glass came back. They don’t know what’s going on. She shakes her head in disappointment.

She went back to the truck after she took his phone. She wanted to use the internet on his phone. She texts him through Snapchat. But she forgot that she had his phone. So he grabbed a box of Popeyes from the truck. She took a deep breath. She could see a customer coming inside too.

She waits for the customer to be done. ‘ Do you want some biscuits? I was going to ask you but I remember I had your phone ‘. The woman says to him. She could tell from her side eyes that the blonde hair was sitting down. She was using her phone. She was trying her best to keep herself a distance from him. She wasn’t a fool though.

‘ Do you want some? ‘ The women ask the female blonde hair women at the store. She looked up at her. She politely rejects the offer of food. The man went back to work. After he got his underwear from the bathroom. He felt embarrassed when the women said that to him. But he played off as if he was laughing and smiling.

The women left the store. As she entered the truck, she was relieved. She didn’t see the girl near the man again. The man came back. He approached her. They were acting friendly. But she was talking to him in a flirty way. The man was naive and doesn’t see it like that. The same blonde hair girl got off. She stood next to him again. She hid a small smile from her. She didn’t want to get caught. She doesn’t know though that someone is watching from afar.

The man looked in the direction of his truck. She could tell the blonde hair girl was talking bad things about her. They were talking about something. But the women couldn’t hear it. She plays it like a normal way. She could tell when she came back. The girl backed away on her phone.
