The Threefold Light
The Shadow Dragon descended with terrifying speed.
Its enormous jaws opened, releasing a torrent of black frost aimed directly at the young Moon Tree growing in the courtyard of the Sky Kingdom.
Everything happened in a heartbeat.
"No!" I cried.
If the Moon Tree was destroyed here, the hope it carried across the world could be lost forever.
Seraphine launched herself into the air.
Cassiel lifted both hands toward the heavens.
Kael and Draven raced toward the courtyard, clearing a path through falling debris.
But they were too far away.
The blast was only seconds from striking the tree.
I closed my eyes and gripped the Heartleaf pendant.
"Forest Queen..."
Then I held the silver seed resting against my heart.
"Moon Goddess..."
