Shadows in the Snow
Chaos swept through the council hall.
Warriors rushed toward the doors.
The elders began issuing orders.
Servants hurried to escort the children and older wolves into the underground shelters.
Kael's voice cut through the panic like thunder.
"Silence!"
The room instantly obeyed.
His Alpha presence filled every corner of the hall.
"Captain Darius."
A broad-shouldered warrior stepped forward.
"Seal every entrance to the estate. Double the guards on the western and northern borders. No one leaves alone."
"Yes, Alpha."
"Mira."
"I'm here."
"Take Selene and the pup to the safest chamber beneath the estate."
Mira nodded immediately.
"It will be done."
Then Kael turned to me.
His silver eyes softened.
"You stay with me."
