The courtyard fell silent.
Even the winter wind seemed to stop moving.
Kael’s hand tightened painfully around mine the moment the guard spoke Draven’s name.
Not hard enough to hurt.
Hard enough to reveal panic.
“He crossed my borders himself?” Kael asked quietly.
