Me and My Brother

My name is Rayna Tresa Shane, l am an MBA student at NYU who is graduating in 2 months. My brother is Nicholas Adam John.

One kinda guess is that my and my brother's last names are different because we are cousins.

Our dads are brothers and I am attached to Nikko more than my actual family because we grew up together, in our family house.

I call it a family house because it looks like a palace, My family is a Royal Family and it's situated in Northern Atlanta. My name is PRINCESS RAYNA TRESA SHANE.

My family was the last ruling era of Atlanta. My grandpa HIGHNESS ADAM NICHOLAS ANDREW was the last royal princes of Atlanta before the modern era. Now my family just hold the title of the royal family and some power in North Atlanta, My dad and his brothers are not interested in any royal title, their interests are in business.

Our family business is big cooperation controlled mostly by my cousins and family elders.

My parents are Shane Andrew Adam and Tresa Shane Pillai. My mom was half Indian and half Canadian.

I have 2 sisters they were twins Ayna and Layna. My parent's marriage was a love marriage which my grandpa was against, then my dad convince him with some promises, which later changed my life.

Grandpa wants his children to take over his 'Royal title', but none of them were interested. Then he changed his targets to grandchildren. With the promise he gets from my dad and convincing my uncle (my dad's brother )John Andrew Adam, To make their first born royal title holder, which happens to be me and my brother Nikko.

Then he brought up us in the royal family house staying away from our parents because they never want to stay in the palace mostly because of my grandpa and visiting me on summer vacations. Usually, it was me because my parents used to leave in the USA with my siblings and my uncle and aunt (Nikko's parents)were there in the palace but they were very busy with company stuff and all. So I and Nikko were always together with my grandpa and grandma.

We kind of grew up as royal children with modern life. My childhood where awesome spending time with grandparents and getting pampered with their love and having great summer vacations with cousins and friends. Especially with my bestie Naina and Skyler. ( and also seeing my BLUE EYE crush)

When my brother reach 18teen he was titled PRINCE NICHOLAS ADAM JOHN.

Titled royal consider to be more respective, they got lots of attention and media will follow them everywhere, their all moves make into news. This makes me realise that even though we don't have any power people are interested in our life, a person like me who wants to stay away from the limelight, this situation is very hard.

Everyone likes to be Princess but the negative side of popularity is interfering in our lives, especially the paparazzi who never leave us alone. They always follow where ever we go. They kinda publish everything personal about us. One's some media publish news about my school mark that's the most awkward situation but it's taken out by our people. During that time I am not even titled a Princess and doing my high school.

Nikko is handling it very well and get adapts to it easily just like he is born to it. He changed into some mature one, not the silly one I used to know. He told me that when my time comes I will get adapt to it easily. Maybe he was right. But facing the change is kind of terrific. Not having that silly life and having to deal with responsibility faster than your peers.

After Nikko's title ceremony everyone was kinda interested in me and start to look for the feature Princess. They want to know how I look etc...

They can't publish my picture so that's kinda helpful. But I know these all change after I turn 18 and am titled, Princess.

But I know that after my 18th birthday without having a title ceremony l will be named Princess.

Only after the title ceremony, I will take over the responsibility of a princess. So if the ceremony gets postponed. I will get some time to find myself prepared and getting ready for these responsibilities and also get a normal college life.

My besties Nina and Skyler encouraged me and we talk to grandpa with help of my brother postponed the title ceremony that happening on my 18th birthday,

it takes difficult to convince him but finally, he gives in.

The media report that I don't want to be Princess ...stuff like that causes so many problems later.

These incidents made me decide that I am doing my college outside the country.

My friends supported me and they are even ready to come with me.

But convincing grandpa is kind of difficult for us, my brother tries different ways but he didn't fall for it. He thinks that if I go outside I will not come back.

We failed and were forced to do our college in Atlanta. But for my MBA I decided that I will do it outside.

After so much pleading he finally gives in. After completing our degree my and Nina's joints in NYU in New York. In the same year, Skyler follows us to New York for pursuing his music carrier.

But before going to New York I need to promise grandpa that I will come back and need to marry someone whom he says. He also wanted me to get engaged to that person before going to New York.

After so much negotiation he agreed to do both the title ceremony and engagement after my studies.
