chapter 5- the truth

Carinas pov

It has been 4 days since I've been here and I've had a great time I've gotten to know everyone here especially Craig, Owen, James, Crystal and Davina and also Draven. They are all so closely knit its comforting almost makes me forget I'm a mafia boss and about my own life which I've been checking up with Raf we've gotten a shipment since I've been gone everything is well everyones still training and doing missions so it doesn't seem like I'm gone and my enemies see an opening to take me when I'm not there. I've also been spending a lot of time with Draven he takes me out on dates every night and we get to know a lot more about each other these last 4 days and we have so much in common. The one thing I find weird is when I'm with Draven and people in the house talk to him they either bow or call him Alpha I decided not to ask about that yet but it is weird and is something I think he'd hoped I wouldn't notice. Right now I'm heading to meet Crystal and Davina so we can go shopping. We are going to have a girls day because I leave tomorrow night so they wanted to be with me the day before I leave. I finally make it to Crystal's room and Davina is already there.

"you guys ready." I ask and they both smile.

"we are was just waiting for you to get your butt over here." Crystal says and I smile.

Before I left my room this morning I was stopped by Draven and told him we were going shopping and he had told me to be careful and kiss me on my cheek. He hasn't kissed me on the lips yet he said he wanted to take things slow, but how slow is slow.

So we leave and head to one of the outlets I found a few things but these things aren't my style not like New York fashion it's all country and rustic styles but I found a few pairs of jeans and some nice tops and sweaters. And surprisingly Draven gave me his card and told me to spend whatever I wanted even though I told him I have my own money he wouldn't take no as an answer so we bought our stuff and headed to a restaurant for lunch.

" today was a successful shopping day." Davina says

"yes, I found a lot of cute stuff especially some nice lingerie for Owen." Crystal says and she wiggles her eyebrows.

"Gross nobody wants to hear how you get down and dirty with your husband, it's bad enough I can hear you from my room. Imagine your daughter's reaction." Davina says and we laugh which ended in Crystal throwing napkins at us

" how have you liked it so far here? I'm so sad you are leaving tomorrow. you are coming back right?" Crystal asked.

" I love it here you guys are so nice and it's peaceful here definitely a change from my life. And yea well I have to get back to reality my businesses and my people aren't going to operate by themselves. And yea I'm sure I'll be back." I said

" How are you going to run your business when you are fully mated to Draven?" Davina asked. What did she mean fully mated. Just then I notice Crystal kick Davina. Okay things are getting weird.

" what do you mean fully mated." I ask

"Honey, you are going to have to talk to Draven about this. We thought you knew but if you want more information you'll need to get it from him I will not tell you anything until he explains it to you." Crystal said.

"Can we head back so I can speak with him. cause I'd like to know what's going on." I say. And we got the check and headed back to the house.

When we got there I was about to head into the door when I catch Lily, Owen and Crystal's daughter. She is adorable, she's only 6.

" Hi, Arina." she says she can't pronounce my name correctly and it's adorable when she says it.

"Hi, sweety." I say back

" Uncle Draven says you are our Luna" She says. What the f**k is a Luna. I just nodded at her and stormed into the Kitchen where I find Craig, Owen, James and Draven.

"Draven you have some explaining to do." I said angrily.

All the boys stood there watching with surprised faces.

"Why what's wrong." He asks

" what's wrong, Whats wrong, is the fact that you live in the middle of the woods with all these people, and you sat it's a family thing but I don't know and how everyone calls you Alpha is really weird like who calls people that and then Davina said we have to be fully mated or something like that and then Lily just told me I'm a Luna. Like what the fuck." I finish out of breath. And he looks stunned, even the boys did too.

"well thats our cue to go. let's go to the training room." James said leaving

" wait let me just make some popcorn and watch this, things just got interesting." Craig says and Owen grabs him by the ear and drags him off the chair.

" No one's making popcorn and no one's watching this is between them." Owen says

" awe come on you guys are no fun." Craig said and they were gone.

Dravens pov

Shit, she knows something now. I have to tell her otherwise she'll leave me for good. I mean even if I tell her she can leave but I'd rather her leave knowing then leaving cause I couldn't tell her the truth.

"I can explain." I said and she crossed her arms looking pissed. Is it bad that I find mad Carina sexy as hell like I want to slam her into the wall right now and have my way with her but I can tell there is no getting out of this one with that tactic. If looks could kill I'd be dead 100 times over.

" well I'm not asking if you can explain you will explain it wasn't a request I'm not leaving this room until I have answers." she said

"okay well if you want answers your going to have to come with me." I said, because I want privacy to tell her this not so any pack members can walk in I want to be able to tell her in our own space.

" I'm not going anywhere until I get answers." she said

"well if you want answers your going to have to come with me, whether you like it or not." I said back and she stood there narrowing her eyes at me.

"Fine but you try anything stupid and I'll shoot you." she said showing me her gun. well now isn't the time to tell her that her regular bullets couldn't harm me, only fire, decapitation, demon poison, silver bullets or silver powder are the only things deadly to us but shed probably take her gun out anyway and test drive that theory.

so I took her to the deepest parts of the woods and when we got to a bit of a clearing I stopped and turned around she still looked pissed. Okay here goes nothing.

" before I start I want you to know after I'm done you can decide whether you want to stay with me or leave I won't stop you that is your decision and yours alone. But as I speak I ask you just don't interrupt me and save aby questions for the end." I say and she nods

" Okay... I'm a werewolf. And the reason why my people call me Alpha is because that is what I am their Alpha, I'm their boss whatever I ask them to do they'll do it. All these people here are my family, my pack. we are all werewolves. Craig is my beta so like for you that would be your second in command, James is my delta so like 3rd in command and Owen is my Gamma so he is our lead trainer and like head of security. Everyone else is a warrior or they have their own duties to contribute to this pack. my legal businesses are for money for us and a cover up so nobody snoops into my business like that. And as for the mates. We believe in the moon goddess, She pairs us with people we are destined to be with for life and she can see out destinies and all that and you are my mate. We can tell from your scent our mates have a different scent then everyone else. The mate bond is special, and is very strong and I'm sure you've felt it, for you it would feel like your being pulled towards me, just like I am to you but for me it is stronger because I am a werewolf. The mate bond is a special thing and can only happen once in our lives because like I said the moon goddess picks one person who is destined to be with you. And you are that person for me. Now after if you decide to stay We would have to do a formal announcement and then the ceremony which means you would become one of us. Now this is a big decision so if you need time I completely understand. But if you stay you'd be my love for life, my partner as I'd be yours my pack would be yours and so would I. And also there are other creatures like us but different yes vampires are real so are faeries and angels even though we haven't seen any of them in a long time it is rumored they are both extinct and there are also warlocks and mermaids are even real and demons but they are mostly in hell and can only be let out if someone let's them out but no one would do that." now I'm just rambling. She looks shocked.

Carinas pov

What the hell am I hearing he's a werewolf. I'm his mate. Vampires are real. Like what the hell did I get myself into. " How is this all real." I said

"it just is, I don't know how to explain it." He said. "so, have you made your decision or do you need time.

I stood there in shock and thinking what to do, everything is all so confusing. And then I hear it a voice in my head "you can trust him. he is your mate. your true mate. trust him and don't let go." it says and I close my eyes and I let the breeze go through my hair and then I realize this decision is already made for me if he is really destined for me there is no stopping the gods and what they want.

"I'll stay." I said and he jumped for joy and picked me up

"on one condition" I said

"anything." he said worried

"I want to see him." I said

"see who?" he looked confused

"I want to see your wolf."
