chapter 9- The announcement

Carinas pov

It's been a week now and business is still booming as usual, there has been no attacks lately and yes this is good. But I believe this is the calm before the storm. Like my father always said "Never get your hopes up. Always be prepared for the worst" And thats exactly what I was doing preparing for every aspect still have triple the security and thanks to our new shipment we got while I was gone we have new tech which also means better cameras and security all around.

But we are getting one last shipment tonight before I leave for my announcement. Everyone is going which is why all security is staying here and they have instructions to stay on high alert.

"Alright everyone gear up we are going to the docks. Shipment is coming at 2 in the morning. We have 2 hours. Now as you know our little friends haven't made a move but that doesn't mean they aren't and when they do I will know we have a rat and if we do just know I will catch them and I will kill them. Santi and Raf you're with me, Jasmine and Nicole your are on the south side of the port keeping watch and I want all the lower members up by the entrance keeping watch for cops or anyone else. Am I clear."

"Yes boss" All four of them said.

And we started to move. It was time.

we got to the docks and everyone took their places all the lowers were by the entrances and down at the edge of the docks, Jasmine and Nicole were up by the crates Jasmine was on top of the crate with a sniper and Nicole was hiding but making sure she can see everything. Me, Rafael and Santiago were down by the waterfront waiting for our shipment we were getting 2 crates one with explosives and the other with weapons. Half we sell and the other half we keep.

15 minutes later

the ships board the dock and we get in packing what we need to take and we seperate what we are selling in 2 different smaller crates.

"Carina there's movement down by the lowers we have to move." Jasmine said

Me and Santi run for the cars while Raf ran to help the lowers and put the shipment in there and we ran for where the fighting was.

you could hear it the gunshots the men that were there i recognized them these were the Garcia cartel men. Sergios men the brother of the man who destroyed me.

Flashback**

Back to when Carina was 16. This was before Carina had her businesses and mafia.

Carinas pov

I wake up and now it's time to get ready for school. It was the start of my junior year. I had everything, from the smarts and the beauty I even had a boyfriend his name was Lucas Garcia. We have been dating for 3 years I know everything about him. Even his shady family business I learned that his family was the biggest cartel in the world he said he was the heir the next in line and when he graduated high school he would take over. He was waiting outside for me as he's done every morning for the past 3 years.

"Hey beautiful." He said pulling me into a hug and kissing me.

"Hey handsome." I said back.

"Before we go to school I got something I want to show you." He said.

"Okay babe. lead the way." I said and he grabbed my hand and we headed for the train station we came up to an abandoned building.

"This is my warehouse. we use it from time to time for shipment and for other things." he said

"Oh cool. so what are we doing here." i asked feeling like something is wrong.

"there is something inside I want you to see." he said and he took me inside. He brought me down to a space where there was nothing but cages. It looked like something of a dungeon.

"This is where we keep our prisoners." He said

"Look step in."He had gestured for me to go inside, so I did. He stepped in behind me locking the door behind us. He reached his hand back in from in between the gate. And he turns around with a devilish smirk.

"W w what t t are you d d doing" I said as he was walking toward me.

"You are an i***t, thinking I loved you, thinking you could marry me and be a cartel wife, thinking you can rule by my side you are no one, nothing. You are so naive. And now you are giving me what I want. What you never gave me." He said.

"Whats that." I said for the first time in my life I was scared.

" your innocence." he said and after that all I saw was darkness.

I woke a while after my clothes were off and I was chained to one of the cots in the cell. Soon after Lucas came back in.

"Hello, how did you sleep, do you like my little contraption I have you in. By the way your body is beautiful. It's a shame you've kept it from me all this time. Now let's play." Lucas said.

I could feel the tears streaming down my eyes. He started to strip and as he was stripping I was trying to break free of my chains but I ended up just cutting my wrists. He then climbed on top and I felt his hard member against me. It was huge and I was a virgin.

"Are you a virgin?" he asked. I didn't answer I kept my mouth shut. But he didn't like that he punched my stomach and then my face.

"ANSWER ME" He yelled at me.

"Yes" I said back and I spit in his face.

" You b***h, you should really learn to respect your superiors. Don't worry I will teach you a lesson." He said and he back slapped me. I was fighting back more tears.

After that he came around to my face. "Open wide princess." He said and I kept my mouth closed.

"We can do this the easy way and the hard way." I just stood there. "The hard way it is then." He grabbed me by my mouth. And pried it open and then he stuck his member into my mouth. He started moving his hips back and forth He was hitting the back of my throat. I couldn't fight my tears anymore and they started flowing down my face. After a few moments of this he stopped. And I thought my hell was over but I was wrong he came back around to my lower body he pushed my legs apart and stuck his fingers inside of me. "Ooo all wet for me." He said and before he could continue I closed my legs. "No, Lucas, Please, Stop this. There's still time to fix things. Please before it gets too much." I pleaded with him. And for a second I thought I had gotten through.

" You know that sounds like a .... boring idea. If you don't want to open your legs I'll make you open them. MEN." two men came in they both had tanned skin and dark hair.

"Yes, Boss." They said.

"Carina I want you to meet Mateo and Rafael. Boys do me a favor and hold her legs apart." he said

"No, no, no" I pleaded Mateo gladly pulled my leg apart but Rafael he looked sad and like he felt bad for me. But he pulled my leg out anyway.

He put his member in between my legs "Don't worry ill be gentle." He winked at me I started crying.

"Please stop." I said.

he pushed it in all the way and I felt pain and blood.

"God your so tight." he said and I kept screaming and crying and trying to break out of my chains but nothing worked no one was coming. No one.

Days later I had gone through so much abuse I was r***d multiple times a day and they barely fed me or gave me water. But Rafael made sure to clean my wounds and give me extra food and sneak me water. He promised he'd help me out. And that my family was looking for me. I knew it was a matter of time before my mafia families came to look for me. "Do me a favor call my cousin Marco in Sicily and my cousin Rami in the middle east I'll give you their numbers tell them where I am. And who you are so when they come they don't kill you." i told him and he nodded I told him the numbers. 2 days later Rafael came and got me out of my chains. And gave me a change of clothes. "Put these on your family is here and then we have to get out of here." I nodded and I hugged him. "Thank you, for being so kind to me when you didn't have to. When we get out of this you will he rewarded." i told him.

"It's no big deal. I never liked the Garcias anyway. And my mother always taught me never to harm a woman." he said

"So why work for them." I said

"Because my parents owe them money and they would have killed them if I never offered myself to them to work off their debt." he said.

" well now you won't have to." I told him and he smiled I finished getting dressed.

" here take this." he said handing me a gun.

I've been trained since a child by my uncle to use them but I've never shot anyone before

"Do you know how to use that." He said

I shook my head yes.

"Good now let's go."

And we ran out shooting anyone who wasn't my family and then I saw my target.

Lucas f*****g Garcia.

"LUCAS, you are mine to play with." I said.

He looked at me and pointed his gun and me I shot him in the leg.

"Please, Carina I'm sorry." he pleaded and then he turned to Rafael.

"Traitor." He spat. "We should have killed you and your family when we had the chance." He said

I shot him in the arm.

"Kiss my foot, and I'll let you live." I said

"f**k you bitch." He said I shot his other knee cap and he screamed again.

" Kiss my f*****g foot." I said

"No." He said

I shot his hand and then the other hand.

"I SAID KISS MY f*****g FOOT. AND YOU LEAVE WITH YOUR LIFE." I yelled.

He kissed my foot, and when he came back up struggling cause he had no hands I shot him in the head.

"Clean this s**t up." I told the other men.

"Come Raf" I said and we left. That was the moment I decided I was going to become the most ruthless mafia leader in the world. That my Reign had just begun. And after that my parents were worried sick. I graduated high school and put myself through college and built up my businesses and my mafia empire with the help of Raf and my 3 best friends from High school Santiago, Jasmine and Nicole. And Lucas' brother has come after me before but he was too weak he went into hiding.

Present day.

We were surrounded. But we had the numbers. They didn't. And then there he was Sergio.

"There she is." He said

"Fancy seeing you here. how are you Carina." He said

"what do you want." I said

"Your empire and your head for killing my brother." he said

"Over my dead body." I said

"That can be arranged. But not now see the man I'm working with wants us to be patient but I thought I'd make an appearance anyway. you look good. No wonder my brother wanted his fun." He said and I tightened my hand on my gun. I was ready to shoot.

"Before you make a move you should know you have a rat." He shot one of my lower members.

"You're welcome problem solved no more rats." He said. And just like that he was gone along with his members.

The cops were coming we ran into the cars and drove off. I was pissed.

"Raf do a background check on all the lowers make sure we have no more rats. I need to know before tomorrow before we leave." I said.

"Yes boss." He said

I did what I did best when I was angry went to my gym and punched things.

"Need a partner." Said Santi

"sure." I said and he took his shirt off

we were throwing punches at each other I blocked his and then he swept his foot under my legs I jumped and dodged it and then I ended up spinning behind him and I jumped up wrapped my legs around his neck and spun and pulled my weight down till we were on the floor "Jeez C are you sure you aren't supernatural." He said

"No just heavily trained." I said with a wink

After that I went to my room to shower and I changed into something more comfortable. when Raf knocked on my door.

"C I did those background checks you wanted everyone else is clean." He said.

"Good, so we leave first thing tomorrow morning. I don't want Sergio to get the slightest hint we are leaving so I'd rather leave before everyone gets up. Only you Santi and the girls are coming with me all the lowers are to stay and believe I'm still here and give them orders not to bother me I don't want another rat incident. Also get the word out to Sicily I'm looking for more members over here." I said.

"Yes boss lady." he said and winked

I called Draven and told him what happened. He was pissed as well. I even told him about my past.

Dravens pov

My mate was attacked tonight. And not even that the man who's my enemy his brother hurt my mate. And he had the balls to attack her. If it's a war he wants it's a war he's going to get. "Alright Carina listen you are my mate and I will do everything to protect you I will send over my security over to your families house and to your hotel. they are elite wolf warriors no one not even Sergio Garcia is getting past them." I said to her.

Carinas pov

He was so sweet."Babe there's no need I have tripped my security on my hotel not even the queen of England can get in I even have a new tech system that will shoot out guns if someone breaks in so we are good but my parents are coming with us." I said

"Yes that's right. I forgot. But one thing goes wrong and I'm personally tracking down Sergio and biting his head off." He said.

"Yes I'm sure you will and I will be right next to you while you do it. Don't worry tough guy." I said.

"Alright I'll see you tomorrow. Sweet Dreams." He said.

"Goodnight handsome. Don't let the bed bugs bite you in the ass." I told him.

"Oh so it's just my ass I have to watch out for eh." he said laughing.

And after that we hung up and I went to sleep.

The next morning

I woke up packed and ready I put extra firepower in my bag just in case. As I instructed the boys and the girls. My family is coming so I want to make sure they are protected.

"Everyone ready." I said and we headed out.

3 hours later

Me, my family and my men and girls got there. Draven was outside waiting for me. He ran to me and gave me a hug.

"I missed you little mate." He said.

"I missed you too mate." I said it felt so good to be back in his arms the only arms I felt safe in.

My siblings jumped on him and he hugged them and then my parents.

"Hello son." my father Said. and both of my parents gave him a hug.

"let's get this party started. But first you need to change and Iris will help you." He Said.

"change? into what? " I asked

He leaned down and whispered

"the color for the announcements is blue you must wear blue. But don't worry I have something picked put for you." He said.

"Now let's get you all settled in shall we before the party." Draven said to everyone.

"Great that sounds great, I could settle in." My father said..

my mother slapped his arm. "What he means to say is thank you. And your home looks lovely. But who are all these people." she asked

"Well they are mostly family or close friends who stay with us and the others are guests who have come to support me." He said. And Iris came out.

"Come you, we have to get you ready for the announcements." she said dragging me.

Dravens pov

"Alpha we have humans crossing the pack lands. one of the men is asking for you." Craig said to me through our mind link. "I will be right there" I said I ran to the borders and there I saw him Sergio.

"Get off my lands what is it you want you prick." I said to him.

"I'll leave soon, just thought I'd drop by see how Carina will be living soon." He said.

"You don't get to talk about her keep her name out of your mouth or ill cut your tongue out." I said.

"Yea yea I get it. You'll cut my tongue out blah blah blah, so. How is she in bed I heard my brother had his fun maybe ill have mine after I take her from you." he said

I growled He wants to hurt our mate I say we bite his head off. My wolf said in my head now that didn't sound like such a bad idea.

"I'm giving you one chance get off my lands and I spare your life or you get killed. Your choice." I said

"Alright, Alright, I'm leaving. see you soon buddy." He said.

And he walked away.

"Craig, Double security on our borders. Make sure the men rotate on their hours no one and I mean no one is to leave their post." I said

"Yes Alpha, right away ill mind link all the guards." he said.

"Good. Now come we have my Announcement to go to." I said and he smiled.

Carinas pov

I was up in Iris's room getting ready. I was in a long blue dress. And Iris had put blue ribbon all in my hair I looked beautiful. Then I put on sandals and Iris put on a little blush I wanted as little makeup as possible, because I don't wear makeup. "Are you sure you don't want any mascara or eyeshadow." She asked.

"No I don't like makeup I think I look beautiful without it so whats the point." I said

"I wish I had your confidence." she said.

"You should your a beautiful girl." I told her honestly.

"Well thank you." she said and then she put a ring of blue roses on my head.

"Alright, it's time. you look beautiful I did good. I might start charging." she laughed.

we headed down and entered the garden. And there was everyone. My family, all other packs and Dravens pack. And then there he was My Alpha. Looking handsome as ever in a blue Velvet suit and a dark blue shirt with his hair slicked back. I finally reached him and he pulled me into a hug. "You look beautiful. Oh and our friend paid me a visit." he said. And I stiffened.

"Don't worry I sent him off. he's gone." he said. "Yea for now till be comes back." I said.

"He won't if he knows what's good for him." he said.

"Right now I have people for you to meet." he said

"Hey Dravven. My man how are you." Another man said.

"Hey Bane." Draven said

"This is my mate Carina, Carina I'd like you to meet Bane Alexei of the breakspear pack." Draven said.

"my hello she is a beauty. pleasure to meet you." He said.

" pleasure to meet you too." I said back.

I met many other pack leaders and their betas.

"Alright let's eat." Draven said.

There was a lot of food. Steak and potatoes and salmon with vegetables and the desert was lovely little cakes that were so delicious. And then Draven stood up.

"I'd like to make a toast. Welcome, everyone, thank you for coming to support me and my mate we are so happy and lucky to have you guys here with us. But it is I who is lucky to Announce I Draven Mannaro Alpha of the Blood Moon Pack has found my mate. Carina Romano. Let our Reign begin." he said and then before I knew it Draven was on his knee and he had a ring in his hand. It was beautiful it was gold with a blue diamond. "Carina Rose Romano, will you do me the honor in becoming my Wife, Luna, companion and mate for life." he said and for the first time in years I cried. I cried because I was so happy.

Dravens pov

Shit she was crying did I say something wrong. And then she came down with me and hugged me and then she kissed me. "Yes, I will." And she made me feel so complete.

"To the future Luna of our pack." Said Craig.

"To the future Luna." There was a chorus of cheers.

"What the f**k is a Luna and an Alpha." Carinas father was saying. Oh s**t we are going to have to come up with some type of story. "Don't worry Dear it's probably nothing." her mother said.

My mother came up to us and grabbed Carina by the arm. "Why sweetheart, we've got a lot of planning to do. I want grandbabies fast. so best we get a move on it." She said and she dragged Carina with her. And Carina was mouthing Help Me. But I just put 2 thumbs up and mouthed back You got this. and she stuck her middle finger at me. I couldn't help but smile.

Craig's pov

I was walking back to the pack house to get changed. And there I smelled it.

Mate my wolf said in my head. And I looked over and there she was she had golden skin with Brown hair. But she was human she must be one of Carinas girls.

"Hey sweetness, I'm Craig whats yours." I said

"I'm Jasmine. pretty boy."
