chapter 3- the meet

Dravens pov

I woke up to the afternoon sun shining in my room. I grab my phone and check what time it is and s**t it's 3 in the afternoon, and I see I have 3 missed calls from Ayla. I call her back " Alpha, good your up I need you in the control room asap there is something you'll want to see." she says and I give her an ok and go in the bathroom and take a shower and get dressed and then I go into the control room where I find Ayla in her chair.

"Hey, Alpha. so I did some digging as to who broke in our facility and I finally caught them as you can see at first we lose them in the tunnel but I was able to hack into all of the traffic cams and found them they get out near Flatbush in Brooklyn and enter that warehouse building and get this they took off their masks idiots so you can see who they are and you were right it's the cartel leader." she finishes. " good work Ayla now go take a break you look like you need it I'll inform Craig and James about your information." I tell her "yes, Alpha. thanks" and she leaves

" Craig I need you and James to come to my office now." I mindlinked Craig. " yes Alpha we'll be right there." they sent back.

I head to my office and see they are already here. "you wanted to see us alpha." they both ask.

"yes, we have much to discuss." so I told them the same thing that Ayla told me and I printed out papers of the cartels location their van and facial recognition I got from the system.

" so I will need you to send scouts out to stay out of sight but I want to know their every move where they go when they go to sleep who comes in and out of that building I want pictures everything. make sure they don't leave their posts until it's time to switch. I need to make sure they don't hit us again and I want to know why he's interested in my mate. which means I'll have to schedule a meeting with her luckily I got her number but I doubt she isn't going to be guarded." I tell them.

"awesome I get to spend some quality time with the Luna." Craig says doing some weird dance.

" the question is do I tell her why she's here and what we are. I mean she isn't an innocent girl she's killed people and done unspeakable things I've seen her track record she's pretty creative when killing but I don't want to scare her off." I say

" as delta and your advisor I say text her tell her she needs to come here and it's urgent and tell her to pack for a few days maybe 4 get to know each other I know with everything going on but if she is to be our future Luna and your mate you need to get to know her and test her see if she's ready and if you feel she is by the 3rd day I say you tell her and see how she reacts. if anything we can knock her out and say she hit her head or something and you can wait it out a little longer." James said and he is right it is my job to get to know my mate and she needs to know the truth she's going to find out one way or another and I'm sure she can handle it. Right?

Carinas pov

I'm sitting at my desk doing some paperwork when I hear my phone go off. it's Draven he's calling me.

"hello" I answered

" hello beautiful, how are you today." he asks

"good just doing paperwork." I say back

" ugh boring." he says laughing and I smile

" well when you run a business it entails paperwork otherwise it won't be successful plus its bill week gotta get everything paid." I say. " so to what do I owe the pleasure of speaking with you right now." I say

" oh right, the reason I called well I wanted to get to know you and I'm pretty sure you want to know me, I wanted to know if you'd be willing to spend like 4 days at my place, and before you say no hear me out, you won't have to sleep in the same room as me I've got plenty in my house and I strictly want to get to know you." I think I want to know him but I don't know yet how this will play out. just then Raf steps in, I mute myself real quick, " Hey Raf remember that hot guy from the ball and the club he wants me to spend time with him what do I do." I ask and I don't know I've never been this shy before normally I'm confident. " go if you'd like me and Santi and everyone else can handle ourselves for a few days plus we know how to run the business we'll make you proud" he says with a wink.

I unmute my phone, " yes I'd love to." I say

"then it's settled then I'll send someone to pick you up in 3 hours."

"wait 3 hours that's not..." call got cut off 3 hours how the f**k am I supposed to get ready in 3 hours for 4 days.

"well I take it you don't have much time." Raf says laughing, I throw a book at him and he fell.

might as well start packing.

I finish getting packed when Raf opened the door. " your bachelor has sent someone for you." he says my bachelor can I shoot him yet.

" he's not my bachelor, just someone I want to know." I said

" oh sorry your husband, future baby daddy, your tango partner shall I keep going." he says and I hit him.

" this is abuse woman." I said my goodbyes and headed down to the front. I get there and there's a car I get in

"Carina right." the driver asked

" yes I am Carina." I said and we took off

Dravens pov

I can't believe she said yes. so I sent my Gamma Owen to get her cause he's a great warrior and I want to get her room ready it'll be right next to mine.

3 hours later

Carinas pov

well now I know he lives in Pennsylvania but he really lives in the deserted area into the woods we had to park the car and get out and walk and let me tell you it was a distance. his driver didn't talk much.

" we are here" he says

I look up and see this huge house and it's beautiful well it has more than one building how do you get so many houses in the middle of the woods in PA. it's like impossible. and there are so many people like holy cow how many people does he live with a whole f*****g school.

His friend shows me to an office, I walk in and I see him Draven, with his dark hair and tanned skin and his button down shirt opened a little I almost crave to touch his skin. I don't know what happens to me when I'm with or around him but I get this sensation and I almost don't want it to stop.

"Hey there beautiful" he gets up and hugs me God he smells so good like forest and cologne and pine.

"well let's get you settled in I'm sure you are tired we can talk tomorrow." he says and I nod and he takes my hand and takes me down the hall.

" this is your room my room is right next door so if you need anything just come in my door is open and any questions you have you can ask tomorrow and I'm taking you out tomorrow, I meant it when I said I wanted to get to know you." he says and opens the door the room is absolutely beautiful it's painted black with gold splattered here and there honestly makes me want to repaint my room back home and it has a 4 poster bed with nightstands and a vanity dresser jeez how rich is this guy.

"thank you, I love it." I said

"glad you do, now get some rest beautiful we'll talk more in the morning." he says and comes to kiss me on my head and walks out I get dressed and head for bed.

Dravens pov

after I left her room I head off to bed myself. the mate bond is strong and I know she feels it but she doesn't know what's going on but hopefully that will all change in the next few days. tomorrow I will take her on a picnic and give her a tour and get to know her and tell her about myself and family without revealing too much at the moment time will tell. but Goddess I was fighting the urge not to rip her clothes off and Mark her right where she stood she smelled so heavenly I just wanted to devour her and kiss her whole body. but soon. Soon I'll be able to.

Meanwhile.

" did he catch the bait."

"yes he's seen me just have to leave a few more breadcrumbs and now that she has gone to him we can play a little game."

" no not yet let them get familiar, I want them to feel like they have all the time in the world. for right now lay low don't make any attacks I want them to completely let their guard down and when the time is right we will strike."

" but if they are as powerful as you say wouldn't the time be to strike now before anything happens."

"no the best way to do it is to let them believe they are happy and then we take that happiness away. Good things come for those who wait. So let them think they are happy for now, but keep a close eye."
