Everything alright?” Santiago took a deep breath, feeling a mix of relief and nervousness. “I wanted to apologize for leaving so suddenly yesterday. My dad sent an urgent message, and I didn’t get a chance to explain.” Genevieve’s expression softened. “No worries. I hope everything’s okay with your family.” “Yeah, it’s fine. Thanks for understanding,” Santiago said, unable to hide the smile that crept onto his face. “I was actually hoping we could spend some time together after school. Maybe grab a coffee or something?” “That's Ok” . I have some free time after my last class. How about we meet by the park?” Santiago nodded eagerly. “Sounds perfect. I’ll see you there.” Later that afternoon, Santiago and Genevieve met by the park as planned. The cool breeze rustled the leaves, and the golden sunlight bathed everything in a warm glow. Santiago found himself captivated by Genevieve’s laughter and the way her eyes sparkled when she talked about her passions. As they walked back towards the park, Santiago felt a growing tension between them. Santiago, sensing the moment was right, gently took her hand. “Genevieve, there’s something I need to tell you.” Genevieve turned to him, her face glowing in the fading light. “What is it, Santiago?” Santiago’s heart pounded as he leaned closer. “I’ve been wanting to tell you that… I really like you. More than just a friend.” Genevieve’s eyes widened, and she bit her lip, her cheeks flushed with emotion. Santiago’s heart soared as he continued speaking, reaching out and brushing a strand of hair from her face. “I didn’t want to rush things, but I couldn’t keep it to myself any longer.” Genevieve’s breath caught as she looked up at him, their faces inches apart. “I feel the same way.” Santiago’s heart raced as he leaned in, the warmth of Genevieve’s breath mingling with his. “Really?” he whispered, his voice barely audible. “I’ve wanted to say this for so long. You make everything here feel like a dream.” Genevieve’s eyes sparkled with joy. “I never thought I’d feel this way”. As their lips were about to touch, a gentle breeze rustled the leaves, adding a magical touch to the moment. Santiago’s fingers grazed Genevieve’s cheek, and for a moment, time seemed to stand still. “Genevieve…” Santiago murmured, his voice full of emotion. “I just want to be close to you, always.” Genevieve smiled, her eyes locked with his. “And I want that too. You make me feel like I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be.” Just as their lips were about to meet, Santiago noticed a figure approach. “Vieve,” the man called out. his voice warm but firm. He reached for her hand, trying to offer comfort. “Is everything okay?”Genevieve shook her head slightly, her eyes never leaving Mr. Donald. “I… I don’t know. Let me talk to him. I’ll be right back.” Santiago watched as Genevieve walked over to Mr. Donald, her steps hesitant. They spoke quietly, and Santiago could see the tension in her shoulders as she listened. The conversation seemed to be intense, with Mr. Donald’s gestures becoming more animated as he spoke. As they conversed, Santiago’s mind raced. He could sense that something significant was happening, but he wasn’t sure what it was. He tried to catch snippets of their conversation but the distance made it difficult. Finally, Genevieve turned back to him, her face pale and her eyes filled with a mixture of confusion and sadness. “Santiago, I need to go with my father. He said we have a guest who wishes toimmediately.” Santiago nodded, trying to mask his concern. “Of course. I understand.” Genevieve gave him a reassuring smile, though it didn’t quite reach her eyes. “I’m sorry about this. I promise we’ll talk soon.” As Genevieve walked away with Mr. Donald, Santiago stood in the park, feeling the weight of the situation pressing down on him. The moment they had almost shared seemed to slip away, replaced by an unsettling sense of uncertainty. “Father I am not happy with the way you interrupted the discussion I was having with my friend. What ever this could have waited. This is a school Dad” “ I am sorry my Angel but Mr. Trump Mophi insisted he needed to see you.” Mr. Donald said camly “ Mr Trump Mophi? Is that not the billionaire who bought over our home? The one who came the other day to demolish our house? What business does he have with me” “ I wouldn't know until we hear him” Mr. Donald said. “ It better not be what I am thinking” Genevive whispered to herself. “What are you thinking” Mr. Donald asked. “ Never mind Dad” she said calmly.
