“You’re not coming with us?” Raven’s mother asked the moment he arrived at the reception area of his bedroom.
Raven did not respond and instead, sat on the sofa across his parents. He stayed silent after he found his seat. It lasted for about a few more seconds which fires her mother’s impatience.
“You’re not coming with us, Raven?” her mother asked again.
Raven glance at her mother. “No, mother,” he replied sparingly.
The deep frown on her forehead and the rhythm and speed of her mother’s heartbeat tells Raven that her mother disagrees with his decision.
“And why is that?” she asked further.
Raven stayed silent for the second time.
