As the fog lifted from her mind Alicia awoke to find herself in a strange place tied to an armchair. Alicia started to feel as though she had been run over by a truck. Her head ached, her limbs were sore but, Alicia still tried to free herself from the bonds holding her to the armchair. Alicia jumped when she heard the sounds of chanting coming from the hall that faced her. She started to panic as the noise grew louder. Alicia was now wrestling with the bonds on her wrist. From out of nowhere she found herself staring into blue eyes, his face seemed perfect except for the scar on his left eyebrow. He had dark brown hair, which looked silky soft in the light. He wore a black button-up shirt, which was open and revealed a set of six-packs. Alicia tried and failed to tear her gaze away from the eyes of the man in front of her. Suddenly she heard a voice in her mind saying I wouldn’t try that if I were you. as if to warn her. Alicia continued to stare as her body went motionless. “What do you want with me?” Alicia heard herself say as she felt another man standing right next to the scar-eyed man. The one on the right had the same silky smooth dark brown hair and blue eyes. He wore a white button-up shirt, open, which revealed a six-pack and a scar on the right side of his chest. In disbelief, as she looked from one to the other. They looked alike. She gasped before asking, “Twins?” They looked at one another then at someone behind her before saying together “Yeah, so, what of it?” Alicia thought she sensed a movement behind her she looked in front of her to get a better look but in the mirror, no one was there. A hand from behind touched her on the shoulder. It was then Alicia realized what it was that had her. Her young mind had a hard time grasping the idea that was running through her mind. VAMPIRES, NO IT CAN’T BE. Alicia had heard stories and roomers about vampires all of her life but she thought it was just fiction like in her books or like the ones you see in the movies. But never in a million years did she think that they truly existed. “Sir, please let her go she’s done nothing wrong.” a voice from the hallway sounded. Alicia looked to see who it was, Ivan was the one who was in the hallway. “Ivan, please help me, I’m scared. Please get me out of here.” Alicia begged. Lucius could tell by her voice she was scared. “Brandon, Brent, release her,” he told the twins. And as soon as she was free from the bonds she ran for Ivan but Lucius reached her first swung her around and kissed her. When his head lifted he realized she passed out. He gathered her up in his arms and laid her in a guest bedroom. Closing the door behind him, he said to Ivan, “Go get her clothes. She staying here for a while, maybe more.” “Yes sir,” Ivan answer but said before going, “But please she’s a good girl she doesn’t let anyone but me and the maid near her. It has been that way since the summer of 1963. And before you ask her parents had to leave saying they would be back but never did, since then she’s kept to herself only talking to me or the maid.” “No wonder she was so afraid,” Lucius said as he looked at the door then back at Ivan Ivan said, “I’ll be back soon. Please don’t leave her unprotected.” “I won’t you have my word,” Lucius told him. He disappeared as he walked into the room. He looked at her, he heard a noise. Noticing it was coming from her, he ease from the fighting stance.
