The twins came forward as Lucius asked, ready to do whatever he needed of them. They knew the time had come for Alicia’s turning.

Lucius asked Alicia softly, “Are you ready my love to join me, no force, no regrets, and no turning back? Understand once I do this it cannot be undone.”

Alicia looked into Lucius’s eyes and said with love in her voice, “I understand what I am doing, my love, I have no regrets. I am ready.”

Lucius cut just below the base of his throat, after a while, Lucius pulled her away. Brent caught her just before she fell and laid her on the grass. “Go to the club and bring someone for her to drink from. When she wakes she’ll be hungry.”

“Someone’s coming, sir.” Brandon pointed out toward a couple that was coming towards them. Alicia felt like her insides were burning then she remembered the stories and tales, ‘ONLY THE BODY DIES WHEN YOU TURNED INTO ONE OF THEM’

The man looked up and stopped, saying “Oh, my lord I’m sorry I did not think anyone would be here.”

Lucius gestured for Brent and Brandon to protect Alicia, whom he noticed had passed out. The woman with him seemed to be in a trance. Both the man and Lucius’s gaze settled on Alicia.

“What is wrong with our daughter?” the woman asked. Lucius gestured again to the twins to tell them to ease up but stay alert when he felt Alicia stirring. When her eyes were open she saw the figures and immediately ran to Lucius and hid behind him. The man came forward asking why are you afraid of me, my dove.”

‘MY DOVE’ Alicia had not heard those words since the day before her parents left. But then they never came back because of a bomb blast going off where they had been. “You’re a liar, my parents are dead if your them then tell me something only they know about me.”

Her gaze was on the gentleman when she said this. He replied, “Your birthmark is a crescent moon, your nickname came from your favorite type of bird, a dove.”

“Okay, lady, what’s my full name? Only my mother would use it. The other people called me by the short version so they could remember my name.” Alicia felt Lucius stiffen as if ready to battle.

“Ami lee Isabel Catlin Ichi Adel Mora.” the lady said calmly. “Alicia for short.”

Alicia ran out from where she had been hiding and rush to hug them. Finally, I’m not alone anymore, she thought.
