Chapter 24: Asher
I went to a secluded space in the castle and made sure no one was around before I redialled the number. I was still irritated at Scarlett and her guts— if only this partner hadn't called would have given her a piece of my mind.
Immediately the phone began to ring, my partner picked.
"Asher, you kept me waiting. That's not how we agreed to do business." She hissed, her classical voice echoing into my head.
I clenched my jaws and replied. "Willow, you know I'm a busy man. I have a kingdom to run, you can't expect me to be on the phone all the time."
A small laugh echoed in the background and for a second, I thought it was coming from behind me rather than the phone. I was almost checking my surrounding when I realized that it was Willow.
