Chapter 38: Scarlett
The excitement I felt earlier about getting the solution to having a baby sooner dropped as fear clutched my heart at Bee's words.
"We have to make sure that Luciano doesn't succeed and this is more than just you... The entire realm depends on it..." Bee kept saying but I was no longer paying attention.
My legs just kept moving and I willed the distance to turn shorter as we hurried back home. Whatever Luciano was planning I had to stop him before it was too late.
Thankfully, we got to the mansion and the first thing that reached my ears was the loud music, and then the bright lights dancing out of the window on the third floor reached my eyes.
"That's the lounge..." I mumbled, surprised at the situation. "Are they having a party?"
