The loud sound of a siren echoed in my ears. I cringed and curled myself up as I wait for it to stop. It is probably another false alarm, or a specimen escaped, or another machine failed, or a glitch, I dunno but they need to stop it. I waited for a few minutes for them to do what they need to do, but 5 minutes passed the annoying siren is still yelling at my ears.      My eardrums are about to break! I thought as I open my eyes. The blinding color red illuminated the purely white walls. The usual buzzing of machine that first thing I heard every morning or at least when I wake up changed into a louder sound of the siren.     I got annoyed and wonder why no one is shutting off the alarm, but without further ado, I look at the black screen posted in the wall and scanned if there’s anyone out there. I was expecting to read a lot of busy minds but to my surprise, there are no signs of an active mind, neither moving living thing. I blinked for a few seconds and decided to stand up.     It took me a few seconds to compose myself from the soft white bed connected to the wall. I did some stretches before the grumbling sound and shaking ground is dominated by my quiet room.      BLAG!     Dust and pieces of walls were scattered in this flat white floor, while in the middle of the smoky dent of the wall reveals a woman wearing black leather boots, tight black jeans with an off-shoulder shirt, and a sling bag attached to her shoulder. Her long blonde wavy hair paired with gray eyes makes her look like a divine Goddess in modern times.     “Miss me already?” She said while her perfectly shaped eyebrow in her right eye goes up and looking at me maliciously.     “In your dreams," I said coldly as I walk towards her with an annoying look.     “Where’d you get that outfit?” I asked as I examine and compared her outfit to my white shirt, pajama, and shoes.     “Luck-er room, Yeah, that’s where I get it, Luck-er room," She answered while rubbing her chin and remembering where’d she got it.     “You mean locker room, not Luck-er room,” I said correcting her.     “Whatever," She said in rolling eyes.     “Wrrrrraaaaaaahhhh!” A shout of an unusual human was heard while both of us were talking.     “Dammit!” Moriah cursed while looking at the infected human.     “So my speculations are true?” I asked as I smiled widely.     “Yeah, the chemistry lab failed in their invention, then the chaos started, you’re just wrong in the time, it happened today instead of tomorrow,"     “Okay," I said with shrugging shoulders wearing a triumphant smile.     We’re also a product of science. Moriah has the super strength while I possess the power of mentalism, both telepathic and telekinetic.     Moriah’s deed attracted the attention of some infected human and without any hesitation, I lifted every piece of debris in my perimeter and shoot every infected human I see.     “What are we gonna do now?” Moriah frantically asked while looking in all directions for a possible escape route.     A grin was formed in my face while thinking the idea of flying I concentrated enough for us to defy the gravity and with a few seconds we’re already floating.     “Hey we can’t just fly and pass them, they will still chase us!” She said while trying to balance herself.     My grin was quickly erased in my face as she told me that flying is a wrong idea.     I immediately put myself down while letting her fall-off the ground. She’s right, we can’t just fly. I look around while hearing her complaints.     "Oh my God! Just tell me if you want to ruin my outfit today!" She said in an exaggerated tone while wiping her dirtied jeans.     I ignored her as I walked toward the part where there is a vent in the ceiling.     “Rrrawr!” Another growl from infected humans but this time they came by a group. A large scale that’s enough to kill us even we have abilities.     They started to run towards us but I immediately blocked the hole from the wall using the bed I had. I floated again until I reach the ceiling with ventilation; I opened it by crunching the screws then throwing it anywhere else.     “Come on now!” I shouted at Moriah who is awed by the sight of infected people trying to enter the dent she made. I immediately enter the vent with Moriah at my back. ———
