  We call Nora first.   Rhys's idea, which tells me everything about who he is, choosing his sister before anyone strategic or impressive, just the person who will feel it most and deserves to hear it first.   She picks up on the second ring and before either of us speaks she says, "Something happened. I can hear it."   "We are engaged," Rhys says.   The sound Nora makes is not crying exactly.
