MIRABELLA I woke up feeling sore and numb. A vicious headache pounded behind my eyes, making me groan as I pressed my fingers against my temples. Slowly, I sat up. The room around me came into focus. This wasn't my bedroom. My gaze landed on the massive framed photograph hanging on the wall. Derek. My heart skipped. Memories from last night flashed through my mind. His touch, his kiss, and the way he looked at me. Heat rushed to my cheeks. I threw the blanket aside and forced myself out of bed. My legs felt weak as I staggered toward the bathroom.
