DEREK.
I was at the club, sitting on the top floor.
A pink-haired girl was on my lap, keeping me entertained. She was paid to do that, nothing more.
A glass of whiskey rested in one hand while a cigar burned between my fingers. I wasn't paying much attention to anything around me until when I glanced to my left.
That was when I saw her.
Mirabella.
She was wearing a short white dress. The neckline revealed just enough to drive any man crazy. My gaze followed her, my eyes locking into her. I was hard-she was driving me crazy.
I swelled under her stare.
I turned to the pink-haired girl on my lap.
"Leave."
She grinned, stood up, and walked away without a word.
My eyes returned to Mirabella. I watched her drink shot after shot. Watched her move her hips to the music in a seductive way.
She was tempting me.
And I was tempted.
You couldn't blame me. I was a man. Every man got tempted. I ran my tongue across my lower lip.
Then I unbuttoned the top buttons of my shirt and leaned back in my seat. My eyes never left her. I watched every move she made-every smile, every step, every sway of her hips.
Then she headed toward the restroom.
I immediately stood. Yes, I was going after her.
Across the room, Jack caught my movement and winked. I gave him a look that clearly said, ‘What the f**k?’
Jack was annoying sometimes. Ignoring him, I followed Mirabella. Women stared as I walked past. To them, I was an opportunity to fulfil their dreams.
Fuck them.
I entered the restroom and locked the door behind me.
"Mirabella," I called out in a low, playful voice.
I heard her breathing heavily. She was definitely in here.
"You can come out," I said. A grin tugged at my lips. "I won't bite you. Unless you want me to."
A few seconds later, the stall door opened. And damn. She looked beautiful. Her hair was messy, and her eyes were puffy and red.
Easy tiger. I warned myself.
Had she been crying? Who the hell made her cry?
My mood suddenly darkened.
I stepped forward. She stepped back.
My eyes darkened. "Come here," I ordered.
She was drunk. My Mirabella was drunk.
To my surprise, she obeyed. She walked toward me until she was standing directly in front of me.
Then she placed her hands on my tuxedo and started fixing it. Brushing away a dust that wasn't even there.
I raised an eyebrow.
In my head, I was already warning her, ‘careful, doll.’ She reached up and touched my cheek, laughed softly.
She traced her finger around my jawline, enough to turn me on. Damn, Mira.
"Why did you cheat on me, Richard?" she sobbed.
I frowned. My Adam’s apple softened immediately. WTF.
Did she really mistake me for her asshole boyfriend? How disgusting. Was I really that low? I was Derek Blue, not some cheating bastard.
"I'm not your Richard," I told her.
She nodded several times.
"Yes. Of course, you're not."
Then she giggled like a child.
I shook my head. Alcohol .
Slowly, she slipped off her shoes and stood on her tiptoes. She held my waist possessively and pressed her lips against mine.
She kissed me.
Oh my.
Then I moved, pressing my body onto hers so she could feel my hardness. I wrapped my hand around her throat, not tight, but enough to make her shiver.
I walked her backward until her back touched the wall. My eyes never left hers. Mirabella looked up at me. She knew exactly what she was doing to me.
I slipped an arm around her waist and lifted her. She wrapped her legs around my waist.
My jaw tightened.
“Mirabella. You better stop while you still have the chance,” I warned.
But she didn't. And neither did I. The kiss deepened. To me, it was a possessive kiss.
She tasted sweet. Dangerously sweet.
Her scent surrounded me, mixed with perfume and alcohol. A combination that was driving me insane. My grip tightened slightly on her waist as I held her against me.
Then loud knocking echoed through the restroom.
"Hey! Open up!"
Another knock followed.
People wanted to use the restroom. I closed my eyes and cursed under my breath.
Perfect timing.
