Something pricked in my mind that told me Xanthia had received my message. It was a weird, uneasy feeling felt like somebody was tattooing the inside of my head. It was a gross, uncomfortable feeling, like four migraines and a hangover rolled into one disturbing package, but it was nothing compared to the feeling I was subjected to when Xanthia tried to send a message back. It began with words flooding into my mind that I knew shouldn’t be there, but I could do nothing to keep them out.
