The deathly aroma was the first thing that slapped me in the face, souring my tastebuds with horrific flavour. Rotten corpses lay in the corner of the room - the same disfigured mutants we had witnessed and disposed of during our quest to find an escape. Huge glass tanks filled the rest of the room, split into individual cells through which real humans - living, breathing humans - could be seen. Every cell contained three people maximum, all completely naked, mostly men, although some women were scattered around the room, and there were an odd few who had no discernible genitalia whatsoever. The eyes of every human were filled with fear, but not much else. A heavy sense of disaster hung in the room, as though they’d all witnessed something akin to their own personal version of hell. Lou
