CYRENIA I stepped into the obstacle course, knowing it wouldn’t be long before I passed through these trees to fight for my life. I needed to sleep, but my mind was wide awake. There was more pressure on success than I had imagined. Between Gianna and Violet, I couldn’t afford to lose. I couldn’t afford to fail. Even if Myles and I had decided to attack Alpha Roman before the trials to stop all of it, it wouldn’t have worked. He had a posse of guards around him at all times. He sensed my desire to kill him, and he wasn’t about to take any chances.
