My Favorite Mistake

Mr. Aaron

Aaron broke the kiss and glared at Kelly with a smile. “Hi Kelly”

“What the hell Elaine” Kelly ground out aggressively. I can’t really blame her as she has sadly listened to all of our drama from the beginning.

“Aaron was just getting ready to leave Kelly. No worries” I smiled back and pulled myself out of his embrace.

“Good night ladies” Aaron smiled and gathered up his things. We watched him walk out the dimly lit bar.

“His ass could crack walnuts. Damn Elaine, I know why you keep going back.”

“Yeah. I really wanted him to do this grand gesture- f**k, I would have loved a small gesture of more than just s*x. Emotional feelings.”

I grabbed my glass and finished my drink. I rubbed my forehead in frustration. Every time I was around Aaron things fell back into the same pattern. I’m good enough for his bed and couch but not good enough for the public. It hurt. And I was partly at fault. Se la vie I think.

“I’m gonna go” I tell Kelly thirty minutes later. She waves me away with a smile. She found a new person to talk to at the the bar. He’s a student from the nearby university. He’s young, loud, and full of himself. Just the way Kelly likes them.

The grimy door to the parking lot swings out fast and the cool night air assaults my skin. Goosebumps breakout on my arms as I step into the dim parking lot. I see a tall figure leaning against my car. Aaron. I was hoping to find him out here but I didn’t want to raise any hopes.

Aaron steps away from my car and pulls me to him. His hands are strong but gentle as they grip my upper arms. My breasts are crushed against his chest. I tilt my face and lips up to his. The stubble on his chin scrapes mine as we kiss. He releases my arms to wrap his around me. I grab his butt and squeeze. He laughs breaking the kiss.

“Unlock your car” he whispers

A fine mist has started since I walked outside cooling the already cool night even more.

“Afraid you’ll melt Mr. Fermi”

“Actually I was thinking about f*****g you against the car but you’d be more comfortable in the backseat. I am still game to do you outside if you want” he says with a cocky grin.

I unlock my car and climb into the backseat.
