Chapter Two

1181 Words
Zara's POV I swear Lucas heard me screaming in my head. He held me down, with a firm glare, reminding me of the consequences of me running. I dared not to run, as it would be a waste of time and effort. And that glare was enough to remind me of that. I couldn't turn my boss into my foe. I knew Lucas would never come after me. He would do far worse than that. My entire body became heavy with emotions, yet I continued to dance. I shook my behind for the only client who still had his eyes on me….the Lycan King. Many men were present, but his aura made it seem as though we were the only ones in the club. I really can't tell how I managed to continue the show for the night. That was the worst twenty minutes of my life, as it sent my blood pressure skyrocketing. It was not till I had finished performing that Dregon took notice of the other werewolves. He nodded at them, as they went ahead to take their seats. The look of defeat in their eyes was amusing. They didn't even get the chance to voice their evil intentions towards me. Just before I left the stage, my eyes took notice of Lucas and Dregon having a discussion. I have never seen such annoyances in Lucas' eyes before. His eyebrows were arched, while the Lycan king sat down, smiling at him. He stared at Lucas, as though challenging him to do something. I shook my head, turning away. Whatever they were saying had nothing to do with me. I was just delighted that I was done. I went backstage, picking up my fur coat from the floor. I shook it, still trying to stabilize my body and my thoughts. I was about to go into the dressing room when I heard my name from behind. "Eliza" It was Lucas. "I need to see you now and be quick." I froze, turning around to see him walking back to Dregon. The way he kept grinding his teeth, showed that he had lost something to the Lycan king. No doubt it was money. I found it weird that he let me be so close to a client after my performance. It was strange. But, I found myself walking towards the most deadly werewolf. I was meant to be running away from him. Sweat gathered on my forehead, as I felt my temperature rising. "Just breathe, Zara," I continued, reminding myself. Lucas stood beside Dragon, who didn't take his eyes off his phone, until he sensed my presence. He shoved his phone in his pocket, before scanning me with his eyes. I instantly forgot how to breathe. "Eliza, I would love to introduce you to someone". Was he seriously introducing the Dorian Louvre? A man whose aura was enough introduction. "This is the Lycan King. Dregon Louvre from the Hellbound pack. Alpha, meet Eliza, our star dancer" I forced a smile on my face, offering a handshake with trembling hands. "I have heard pleasant things about you, and it's an honor to finally meet you" I stuttered. There was nothing true about that statement. I have only heard horrifying stories about him. And meeting him seemed like my doom. Dregon didn't utter a single sound, he didn't even care. He got up from his seat, and took a step towards me. The heat from his body almost made me melt. Despite the four-inch heel I had on, I looked like a child next to him, as he comfortably towered over me. I couldn't help but notice his suit. It was tailored so finely, I am sure it was enough to buy the entire club. Dregon's huge, hot hand covered my small palm. I felt an electric current spreading through my body. It felt like I was about to burn, and the roaring of his wolf was the next thing I heard. “I want you” It felt like the air was limited, as I struggled for every breath, trying my best not to crash to the ground. I acted like I didn't hear his wolf, when his sharp green eyes pierced mine. I don't know why, but I felt like my insides were being sliced in half. "Excuse me, Alpha, but you had talked about having an important meeting by 3. This is ten minutes past 3," Lucas chipped in. "You are right," Dregon replied, daring not to take his eyes off me. "I think the other Alphas can wait an extra ten minutes". Dragon took a glance at his wristwatch. Dregon grabbed my wrist, pulling me close, before he bent my neck over, his lips making contact with my ear. "I will see you again" his whisper sent shivers down my spine. That wasn't just a statement, it sounded like a promise which wouldn't be in my favor. And he didn't sound like he needed my consent. I could sense that the other dancers were staring at us. But, their gaze must have solely been on Dregon. I mean, who wouldn't want to have Dregon as a client? Oh right, I wouldn't. The thought of it scares the hell out of me. Dregon squeezed my neck gently, winked at me and made his way to the exit. The wolves stood up to honor him, the same way they did when he entered, while his warriors trailed behind him. "You've managed to get another VIP client. But, this time, I am perplexed about whether to congratulate you or pity you", Lucas spoke, looking in the opposite direction. This was something he had never done. "I remember when one of the dancers asked you why the Lycan king himself had never been there. You told me this place was far beneath him, despite the status of the club. You referred to him as the God of hell. You said he had his own women entertaining him. So why did he come?" I let my curiosity take over me. "I couldn't have stopped him even if I wanted to. No one can" he folded his fist. "We had a six-year deal, Eliza, and you have only gone through four. You still owe me a solid two years. You shouldn't dare to leave this club under any circumstances. The Dorian Louvre wants you, and if he comes here and doesn't find you. This club wouldn't be the only thing he would be setting ablaze", he squinted his eyes. I should have known Lucas cared only about himself. He's nothing, but a typical business werewolf. He never stops coming up with tricks to help him escape every horrible situation. No one had dared to stand up against him in the past, because of his connections. But, knowing Dregon the way I do, he wouldn't take more than two seconds to snap Lucas in half. "No one messes with the Lycan king, Eliza," he warned me. "You can't afford to pay. You are Too broke for that" he added, before he walked out on me.
