CHAPTER 7 Gaby woke up, stretching and yawning like any other morning, then flopped back onto his back. His head was pounding, his tongue felt fuzzy, and his eyes were filled with gunk. Damn, he was tired. It hadn’t even been a full week since all the changes had happened in his life and Gaby felt completely drained. Going through the hundreds and hundreds of files, none of the old council had bothered to even look at, had been a nightmare. Thank the gods… literally. They agreed to let Gaby have a personal assistant. Jigger was unbelievably good at the job.
