“Flight 2646 is boarding now,” came from the overhead speakers and Amina turned to her companions.
“Well that’s my cue to leave.” She said and Bisi hugged her.
“I’m going to miss you.” Bisi said and she smiled slightly.
“Don’t worry, it’s just for a couple of months and I’ll be back.”
“Yeah I know but still.” Her friend pouted, making a sad face.
The call came again and she glanced at the gate. “I have to go now Bisi.”
“Okay take care of yourself and the baby and don’t forget to take your drugs.”
“Yes mum,” she rolled her eyes.
“Don’t for–“
“Let her go already before the gate closes. Don’t worry I’ll take care of her.” Teslim cut her off and Bisi pouted at him, he pecked her lips. The scene caused a pang in her chest and she took a deep breath, looking away.
